Has anyone else had a problem with Anub'rekhan Evading, if the main tank gets impale and goes flying through the air? Made it though 7 transitions, however finally resigned due to mana, he evaded to full twice :V

This happened to us last night too, I was the main tank and was pretty sure it had something to do with me getting impaled, I had two theories on what was causing it.

1, When I run around the room for a transition, I go all the way back into the doorway and run through him to reposition, If i get impaled while in the corner area of the doorway, that area might not be friendly to impale, and cause him to evade (maybe different ceiling model that makes me unattackable?).

2, When I was tanking him earlier, I was standing right on the ledge, with basicailly no room to move back, if I got impaled there, it may have thought I was above the water and not on the ground and possibly causing an evade.

After our 6 transition with multiple evades, I started leaving myself more room and we didn't have any more evades, but I also stopped using the doorways for positioning so either or could have caused it I think.

Could the random targetted impale cause an evade if his random target is in a goofy spot? I am not sure where you can really go to LoS it but just a thought.

Where have you been doing your research, the New York Times? There's a thread about this on R&D every day. It's a pain in the ass, and seemingly haphazard even using the same positioning time and time again. Being pressed up against one of the walls seems like a bad idea, basically, and increases the odds of this happening. I think that what happens is that as the MT falls, he slides down the wall, and his position is momentarily "on" that wall as he slides down, kind of like sliding down a very steep hillside while walking around outdoors. If Anub tries to melee at the split second that your client is telling the server that you are "standing on" (i.e., sliding down) the wall, it makes him evade. We had him evade at 4% on the attempt before our kill. Annoying.

Ow. We only had him evade once, on an attempt that was destined for lameness anyways so it did not hurt so badly.

Chicago Sun Tribune Fiche archives said nothing of this... I did not intend to imply that I had been searching for this info, just that I had not run into it. It seams that though a google search for Naub'rekhan and evade, yeilds plenty of instances however I can't read them. Websence sharpely curtails the spectrum of websites that I can browse at work, in fact this site shows up as "Sex" in the stats, I am surprised I have not been fired.

We were also having a lot of issues with evading. After a few mediocre attempts with evades around 80% and one heartbreaking evade around 20% with no one dead, we just had our MT stay a little bit further away from the wall and it solved everything.

I noticed this too when our company was messing around with SurfControl or something. In fact, I still can't access the front page because of it.

No, the front page just doesn't exist right now.

Well then my company has chosen empty space as one of the three websites it blocks. I am not surprised.

Surfcontrol doesn't analyze pages in software, it employs people who do that.
The fact that the page is blank now, if your company does use Surfcontrol, doesn't change in any way how it would be filtered.

We haven't had Anub'Rekhan evade on us yet. But we don't ever tank him with the MT right on the wall really.

tanking him on the wall seems really awkward as it is. doesn't it make it harder for you to run from swarm in time?
