confirmed. MMOChamp leaks were basically dead on.

Azeroth areas seen with massive 'cracks' in them. They spew fire, or even allow areas like desolace to team with life. Darkshore almost completely destroyed. Barrens has a huge rip thru it and is filled with charred rocks.

Obviously, Blizzcon 2009 begins this 'morning', August 21, 2009. The Opening Ceremonies begin at 11:30 AM PACIFIC, 2:30 PM EASTERN, but information and pictures will definately leak when the doors open at 10:00 AM West/1 PM East.

There is going to be mountains worth of information around the web in the next 48 hours about Diablo III, Starcraft II, and a 99.99999999% chance of the official Blizzard reveal of the next World of Warcraft Expansion (likely to be Cataclysm).

I am not going to post information that is speculative at this point, as we can all easily find it via MMOChampion, WorldofRaids, Twitter, WoW.com or even Google, and it would be more well organized, formatted and streamlined anyway. Regardless, post all of your terrible opinions of Blizzard's announcements here (also, post any useful information).

Azeroth map pulled from the main WoW site because it is "really outdated"... Now I dont check the WoW site official Azeroth map that often, but I think that's a new one.

Judging by the gameplay video, the monk appears to have a lot of pushback attacks, using explosion/charge effects.

Heroic Deadmines/Wailing Caverns? Have they elaborated about whether that is to be level 80+, or closer to their original level, like maybe level 30 instances or something?

I have to be honest, that would be both interesting and really odd to go back there after 60 levels to kill Van Cleef, but with 12 million health instead of what, 2,000?

When the Dungeons & Raids part came up in the trailer, did anyone think the first area looked very much like Azjol-Nerub art?

Chances are that these will be post-Catacylsmic WC / Deadmines / etc., with new stories and designs and whatnot.

The term used was "Guild levelling". Something about alts too. Panel will clarify this.

Lots of exposition in the Cataclysm video: Elune is responsible for getting the Worgen in, Goblins are more or less refugees from the "Lost Isles".

"New raids" seemed to show a Titan-related instance (most likely Uldum) and something else that housed a strangely translucent dragon.

Creative use of Cataclysm - basically eradicating all of the notorious death march zones as they currently exist. Ashenvale, Darkshore, Barrens all get crunched.

If I understood correctly, Morhaime was caught a bit off-guard, but I think he claimed Cataclysm is planned as the second release in 2010, next to Starcraft II.

Ugh, I hope thats note true. Thats the expansion drought that we had with Classic to TBC.
