I'm pretty sure it takes mitigation into account, but remember it is all theorycraft, and while not spot on, it gives you the most accurate idea of how certain buffs and items will affect you. But it is considering you're attacking the whole time, not waiting for aggro (I'm not well versed on the Patchwerk fight, so I don't know how long you have to wait - that will throw off individual timers.)

When's the last time you checked out my spreadsheet? I've made a ton of improvements since I had no armor calcs, you might want to give it a look again. Armor is one of the user-settable variables too(colored green).
Now, I will admit, it's all theorycraft, and predicting warrior rage usage is shaky at best. I've always intended this spreadsheet as a gear comparison tool WITHIN the class, not a dps comparison tool between classes, even though I've used similar settings as chalon's spreadsheet. All I wanted from the spreadsheet was to plug in my gear and talents, and then see which is better Onslaught Girdle or Girdle of the Mentor? Ok, easy example. What if I have Gressil and Claw of the Frost Drake, still worth putting on Edgemaster's Handguards over Gauntlets of Annihilation? It's in no way supposd to validate a rogue's fear of fury warrior's dps...that's what DM's are for.
I haven't updated the spreadsheet ina little while, I'm sorry about that. I've gotten to the point where the improvements I can make are big overhauling changes, and I haven't had much free time at work. Also, since yojimboo mentioned WF, I'll point out that WF on my spreadsheet is a bit underpowered. I forgot to calculate the extra hits it generates in regards to procs, so up that dps number just a bit.

Heh, Xane forget the oil again? What's kappa's gear like? Similar to Crauch's? From a dps warrior's standpoint, I'd be pretty happy with that dm, considering the weapons you have.

We got our kill the other day. I was first at 319k. Second was another fire mage at 280k, then it alternated rogues/mages doing around 240k each. Don't have an SS unfortunately. Our final time was a little over 7 minutes I think, and I ended up at 740 dps. I was buffed with Flask of Supreme Power, Greater Arcane Elixir, Elixir of Greater Firepower, and Blessed Wizard Oil. 17/31/3 is, in my opinion, the highest single target damage in the game right now.

kappa has the edge of chaos and a pugio, with solid dps gear apart from that. I expect he has a ctprofile, if you do some looking.

As to papa...fire might be the highest dps, but that must be with a lot of consumables and buffs. Even then, I'm surprised you can maintain that much dps for a boss fight, kudos. What would you say if you weren't using so many consumables, which heavily favors magic users over melee.

I have a copy of the DM but too bad I'm a retard and don't know how to upload images on this forum / don't have a host that allows direct linking. Papa was indeed around 740 DPS for the duration of the fight (7 mins 17 seconds) I think he said he used a few major manas on the fight.

I used 3 gems, and 3 major manas that attempt to maintain the dps. I could do more dps, but over a much shorter duration if I were just fireball spamming. I was switching between scorch and fireball depending on my mana, the current ignite tick, various cooldowns etc. Still, lasted over 7 minutes of continuous nuking with fire. Probably could have gone on a little longer, but towards the last 15% a tank died and we were trying to really burn him down before any more died, so I was pure fireball spamming and blew through about 45% of a mana pool in like a minute.
edit: minor typo

I do not have a ctprofile. I think for the most part crauch and I have the same gear, except I have a better mh, and he has better trinkets.

Here were the actual numbers, for reference:
(On a separate note, the second Patchwerk kill really felt more satisfying than the first -- after last week, I was half dreading having to do it again, since I knew that there were a couple of places last week where we were a coinflip away from a dead tank and a wipe, but one-shotting him tonight put any such doubts to rest. Having zero deaths was pretty sweet, too. And yes, I'm bragging, but fairly proud of our healers. For one night, anyway.)

Last time: 129 frostbolts, 28 crit (21.7% crit rate), 1799.9 avg (232183 dmg)
This time: 123 frostbolts, 24 crit (19.5% crit rate), 1853.9 avg (228033 dmg)
PLUS
3 wand shots, 1 crit (33.33% crit rate :v: ), 176.7 avg (530 dmg)
This time I fucked up the usage of the mana consumables (accidentally hit gem first instead of major mana) and ran out of gas at the end. And I had the wizard oil on too. Bah.

Ok Elendril, I can see how you did that much DPS now, though I have no idea what I was doing this week that made me do more than last week. My pet did about 13k, so add that onto my total and it's my actual damage :x

2 - sword rogue with aqr
3 - combat daggers with perds
4 - combat daggers with pugio
5 - hemo with servo arm/pugio
6 - frost mage
7 - combat daggers
8 - sword rogue with cts
9 - 2h fury with untamed
10 - 2h fury with ashkandi

The only exception to this is probably if you are lucky enough to have Ashjre'Thul, in which case you only have to mash the aimed shot button when the cooldown is about to expire, or am I mising something?

With the 3.1+ speed crossbows, mashing aimed shot is optimal, but with the 9-second cycle multishot can be hard to time well.

Question about rolling ignites. What's the priority in the ignite stack? Or, is it basically the first 5 in are the only ones you get. If you could get 5 fire mages, I would be curious to see what Scorch -> Combust -> ToEP -> Zandalarian -> fireball until 5 stack -> scorch spam for rest of fight could do in DPS

Alliance raid, second patchwerk (The #1 guy was around 11th or so, at least under me, last week, think he respecced):
2 things to note;
1) The SS was without synching, but everyone stood still, so I either got everyhting, or nothing of their damage, and I stood pretty much in the middle, and I see people at both extremes (melee and ranged) from me on the list, so it should be accurate.
2) Since the SS is not synched, the 2 other hunters are further down then they should be, since I dont have their pet data (I checked just before someone did a /dmsyncclear) and saw no melee for them but saw their pets hitting). My own pet hit for 19994 damage, which at 6:56 means 48dps, so can probably add about 50dps to each of the other hunters.

There's a *big* gap between your number 1 and the rest of your field. Was that warlock getting Innervates / Power infusions? Or where your mages not drinking mana pots constantly? Or was he potted up fully and the rest weren't?
Just curious, because I can do 535 or so DPs in BWL level gear, without a flask, or Wizard Oil, as long as I chain mana pots, so I'd expect a lot more from an alliance mage at your level.

that's not *quite* true. that gives fine damage, but there are times when your aimed shot will cool down just before your autoshot fires, and if you're just spamming the button you'll lose an autoshot. if you learn your character's attack animation you'll find the exact point when you can start casting aimed shot before your autoshot has graphically fired and the autoshot will still go off.
granted, in most fights i'm spamming rather than staring, especially when there's a lot of other things to pay attention to (movement, yelling raid warnings on vent, tranq shot...polarity shifts on thaddius being the newest!), but when i can really focus on just maximizing my damage (like on patchwerk), i can squeeze out noticably more.

That is why I was specifically referring to Ashjre'Thul. With a 15% quiver an autoshot takes 2,96 seconds, so two autoshots fit (almost) exactly into the cooldown period of aimed shot, and spammage will yield optimal results. Another reason why Ashjre'Thul is so good. :-)

I dont know about the mages, and everyone was fairly buffed up, think the warlock in quyestion got the extra boost by cabling his pet after sacrificing it or something, my only warlock is lvl 20 and for some reason spends his days swimming in a lake in feralas with bags full of purple stuff, so have no clue really on the details of it.

even with ash (which is what i use), spamming isn't exactly optimal. it's better than with other weapons, but based on lag, multishot overlaps, etc, you're going to end up with slightly out of synch rotations that you have to pay attention to maximize.
