My guild has recently reached C'thun, and we used to raid about 6-7 nights per week. I know it's a really tough schedual and now we've given it up after bad attendance to raids on Fridays and Saturdays. Now those days are made free, so that people can go and get drunk without missing a raid, or Pvp or moneyfarm or whatever.

Now that we've reduced our scheduled raids by 2, we've had to scrap Molten Core which we even before didn't run weekly. We'll be leaving 1 Day to clear BWL, another to clear till the Emperors, and 3 whole days for progress.

And as many people from respected guilds read these forums, I'd like to hear what you think of our Schedual, and that would you consider 3 nights per week dedicated for wipe raids enough to maintain a good steady progress.

I imagine most guilds right now are raiding 5-7 days a week with Naxx being out so recently. Plus Naxx is a lot of fun so right now most of our guild is unhappy when we don't raid, heh.

Of course the raid game moves in cycles, In August-September we were raiding pretty much daily to clear BWL, then from October-AQ gates we seriously raided 2-3 days a week. Then the gates opened, it was back to 6-7 days a week. After we got AQ down and C'thun was cockblocked we raided a lot less yet again, finally when C'thun was beaten we were raiding 3-4 days a week. Right now we're on an "up" cycle so we raid 6-7 days a week. Once Naxx is on farm I'm sure it'll be more like 4 or 5, depending on if we feel like doing BWL that week.

edit: we're a somewhat large guild in that we typically have 50-60 people on at raid time every day, so saying we raid 5-7 days a week doesn't mean everybody raids 5-7 days a week like in some guilds.

pre-naxx (and once we had aq40 on farm) we raided 2 days a week - one for bwl, one for aq. since naxx came out, we've cut BWL and raided 4 days a week. we never raid on fridays or saturdays, and barring unusual circumstances (losing a day to server trouble, holiday cutting into one of our usual raid days, etc), rarely raid on sundays.

We are a pretty casual guild and just moved from 3.5 raiddays (3 days every other week 4 the other) to 4 days per week which I think is a pretty nice number.
Its not optimal for progress but it allows people to farm/pvp or have some RL.

7 until progress is finished. Also unlike many guilds we still clear MC/BWL/AQ weekly.

We've always been raiding 5 days a week. Friday and saturday are the 2 days we dont. Havent set foot in aq or bwl since naxx is out , so far downed 5 bosses ,working on patchwerk atm.

p.s. Getting raid ID for aq40 from a friend guild which are at chtun in aq40 atm but still unable to defeat him rocks ! :)

Seems like 5 days and Fri/Sat off is quite common, that's what we've been doing for the last year also (apart from farming periods naturally).

BWL, AQ40, Naxx, pretty much seven days a week.

We raid 4 days a week.

With only 50 members in the guild each member is thus required to preferrably raid 3 days a week for us to keep up decently sized raid groups.

Now bear in mind that we are far from hardcore, most of our members are playing their first ever mmorpg toons and only 5 or so had even entered MC before we started raiding it.

With a team and raid schedule like that it took us 3 resets to clear MC and 8 resets to clear BWL.

This may seem very slow to a lot of you but my point isn't to impress. What I'm trying to point out is that even with casual/inexperienced players and a casual schedule progress can still be made.

Being an old hardcore mmorpg player, with less time on his hands than a few years back, a guild like mine is exactly what I prefer. The fact that you can enjoy progressing through content at a more casual level than in Everquest is probably one of WoW's best parts as far as end game raiding goes (in my opinion at least). Old players such as myself can still enjoy what they enjoyed most and at their own pace, be it fast or slow.

I don't know why my armory link doesn't work.

Used to be fridays as off days, now it's aq40 on saturday 19-finish, bwl 14-17 on sundays and naxx from 19-late, every other day is naxx 20-late. It works pretty ok. Too many in the guild have jobs to be able to consistently get raids much earlier then that.

Edited to add: used to be as in before naxx, now raid all 7 days.

Yeah, cyclical basically. We've fluctuated between ~3 days and 7 days a week depending on the status of current content. Like DnT, we also still do BWL and AQ40, so it ends up being a full schedule.

We really don't have many insane marathon raids extending into the wee hours, though, unlike the sessions I hear about from some guilds. I'd say probably 30 hours of raiding per week, total, these days, which is certainly a lot.

7 days a week generally... 4-5 hours a night if you count all the bullshit AFK time and people not being ready on time. Weekends we also throw in some ZG/AQ20/MC on top of the 40man instances for some of the slightly undergeared folks.

if you are looking for a justifacation of fewer raid days, i believe this may not be the place to ask as many of these players in various guilds are what i would consider "hardcore bleeding edge". Faded Dreams is in no way that.. but were still making headway with a 4 raid day schedule. you may not get world firsts... but dependign on your server, server firsts are very possible if thats what you are interested in. 3 days for progress work IMO is more then enough. a few number of raid days can also help with burn out issues.

4 nights seems like a fair number. We sometimes go up to 5 when we get close to get a new encounter down.

Pretty much 6-7. 40-man raids 3-4. Ony's, 20mans etc, rest, for new recruits, alts and some hc raiders for leftover days.

When I was on Dark Iron, we would pretty much just raid 5-6 days a week, with Tuesdays and sometimes Wednesdays off. Of course, I left the server before Naxx, so we would just raid BWL/MC/AQ. We split up BWL among three different days, and MC we did just in one night AQ was whenever we had the time. MC was free for all loot though, because we had been through it a thousand times and everybody had gotten what they needed.

3-5 days, depending, 4-5 hours per day, off-days change from week to week (Fri/Sat are definitely not sacrosanct, we'll raid on those pretty regularly).

Man are you still here?

I got an offer from a guild on Gorefiend, but I haven't really checked around to see what people think of them. They sound good though.

Then GSA said I could head there if I want. I think I'll talk to the Gorefiend guy again.

EDIT: I guess as much as I hate my guild I really couldn't play without them, I've been in this guild over a year at this point and I don't know anyone else in this game. I should just bite the bullet and do it, I don't think we'll see Naxx.

EDIT #2: Subs in Naxx right now, they're still kickin'.

5-6 days a week, 5 more often than 6 due to the randomness in activity summertime brings to the table.

Hmm Furo came in our vent and said Alchingon, Frosted, and a few others are transferring.

I feel the same way, love a lot of the people I have raided with on our server. Our guild appears to be falling apart, just wiped on Razorgore yay ... I guess I'll bide my time for now and watch it fall apart if it does. Naxx is looking less and less like a reality for us, guess we will enjoy those two Razuv kills.

EDIT: Anyways sorry for the derail.
