So last night is our first attempts on the Twin Emps. My guild is a reform of a bunch of other random people who have all been around since our server was born but were never together in the same guild. Only two or three of us had ever even been to them before.

So, we're using the warlocks to tank Vek'Lor and the warriors to tank Vek'nilash but the warlocks are just having an incredibly hard time getting aggro off of the warrriors after the teleport. Every single pull the warlocks aren't able to get it off of their warriors after the teleport and I had never seen this problem before (being raid leader and one of the only people who had killed them before). So I am like completely shocked. So our new idea is that the tanks are only allowed to autoattack and shield block. The locks are able to get aggro after a very very long time and our warriors are eating way more shadowbolts than we'd like. I am just confused. The officers are confused. Keep in mind we've wiped enough times to warrant a repair bot by now.

Well, our 2nd tank logs on, he had been out of town for the weekend and just returned, and a hunter steps out for him. I explain the basic jist of the fight to him and he has watched videos so he knows what to do. We get in positions for the pull and he suddenly says, "WAIT WAIT WAIT! Why the hell do the warlocks have Blessing of Salvation?"

Needless to say we won't make that mistake again.

I always forget to click off Salvation. :(

One of our members pulled out the little fire elemental you could getj ust recently and it proceeded to wack away on the melee emperor with every other melee, shit hit the fan when the teleport was coming up and it was promptly shadowbolted to death by Vek'lor. After it died the rest of the raid was killed since we use warriors for tanking Vek'lor :)

Was kind of funny hearing him explain that to everyone.

Yes, that's basically the Mr. Wiggles story, except Mr. Wiggles is far more insidious since he isn't allowed to be on anyone's aggro list.

I hate all gimmick pets with a passion. Those cinder elementals are awful because you can't forcibly dismiss them to my knowledge. When someone broke out out before we pulled Noth I made him go suicide to mobs in an adjacent wing. :angry:

Last week through some horrible horrible mistimings on the teleports resulting in tank and DPS deaths, our DPS on the melee emp just wasn't cutting it. We actually have a fraps of them going supreme mode at under 1% health - the entire raid was dead and they ran toward each other, healed for 30,000 health, and then suddenly both just keeled over dead. Unsolved Mysteries of WoW.

Explanation 1 - the last surviving hunter somehow did 30,000 damage in under 1 second.
Explanation 2 - a GM felt sorry for us and killed them out of pity.

Yeah... we had a rogue whip out his cinder elementals after noth came down for 'extra dps' and those damn things don't show up on decursive so....

Reminds me of a Vael kill we had a while back. Warrior takes aggro out of turn and doesn't move, all melee people cleaved down, healers eat breath, Vael runs towards casters.. Hunter has BA so is off to safe spot to explode and hence doesn't get caught in the breath that makes all the casters crispy, Vael turns to hunter, hunter fires multi+auto, while shots are in the air he explodes messily, shots hit Vael, who promtly dies. Good times.

I think we had two vael kills where he was finished of by a pally in a bubble consecrating and throwing HoW...

We had our MT do sxomething similar on Ragnaros, it was a little more excusable because the MT was a priest. None of us even noticed until we watched the FRAPS :S

Notable Twins wipes, wiping because the warlocks flelhunter got aggro instead of the warlock.

We had Chromaggus with Ignite Flesh + Timelapse last week. Our guild is fairly new so many people are inexperienced with Chrom... on our last attempt, he broke out at 5%... 2 warlocks managed to put Curse of Doom on Chrom before he killed them. At 1% there was only a pally standing up. So Chrom runs up to the pally who says his last prayer while waiting for the impending doom... as Divine shield is about to wear off, we suddenly get a CT-Raid message: Spell Vulnerability changed! Chromaggus is now vulnerable to shadow.
Both CoD immediately tick off, Chromaggus dies with one pally up who is just standing there, grinning wickedly for a while.

We've killed chromaggus once due to a shaman ankhing in as the last player died, and hitting him with Earthshock as he turned Nature vulnerable... :) I hate that fight every week!

The best thing you can possibly do is use that fire breathing gimmick item from the fire festival while Gurgthock is explaining a wipe we just had to a Naxx boss. He will thank you for it.

We've had one. That particular paladin had always claimed to be God. After that, he demanded we all admit it was true.

I told him if he was God, Judgment Belt would stop dropping.

Gurg also hates those fire breathing items from the Fire Festival.

we once had a noth wipe to wrath of the plaguebringer when we were incredibly confused what went wrong. combat logging attributed it to summoned skeleton.

Once while I was tanking Huhuran, a shaman dropped tranquil air for me instead of NR totem during the last 30%. Nothing bad happened, but I still thought it was kind of funny.

And I think we've had the cursed skeleton wipe to Noth, too.
