So the time has come that I have started to get multiple item sets and am running out of room in my bank for old blue and green items, I was wondering what most experienced players do with old items such as:

http://www.thottbot.com/?i=19462

or

http://www.thottbot.com/?i=4062

Just items in general that you no longer use, what do you do with them?

...and what about event items like

http://www.thottbot.com/?i=53670

Are you a pack a rat or a "I need bank space, vendored" person?

Do you have a bank character?

I keep a bag setup for epics that are going to get trashed and when I fill that up I will respec to enchanting disenchant them and then get herbalism back. Other than that i typically vendor everything. I find if you arent going to use it ever again why keep it? EF and TS is tricky due to resistances but luckily I dont have alot of that to get rid of yet. Those trinkets were fine at one time but get rid of them. I have kept my fire sapta for some nostalgic reason(I thought it was going to be used for something else originally) but for the most part I try to keep the bag space open from trash since bag space is more valuable then just hanging onto some crap cause I have had it forever.

Now the first two, I can't see being useful in any encounter i've experienced.

The third you should be wearing ALL THE TIME. Even on Ragnaros. How else will you toast your marshmellows on a knockback?

What's in your bank that's so damn important? Over 100 days played has netted me alot of crap, but you can mail most of it off. Don't vendor epic items (unless it's really crap) or with a certain novelty, but stuff like those first 2 trinkets should be vendored asap.

At any given time, I keep around 6 gimmick pieces of gear on me, and in my bank I have around 10 slots that are there for gimmick or sentimental pieces. I still end up with 10-20 free spots in my inventory and bank because I make use of my bank alt, and my professions don't require a whole bunch of random crap.

My honey, however, is a miner, engineer, shaman, AND a packrat :socar:. She hasn't had more than 5 free slots since I got traveler's backpacks for both our characters at level 35.

So I'm pretty ruthless about space, but I'll keep some "just for fun" stuff around, and instead pitch the marginal "specialist" pieces. For example I ditched all my +spirit (with nothing else) gear and kept my tuxedo.

I used to save every single trinket I ever got, but eventually I got to a point where it was extremely impractical. So I vendored everything other than a couple of trinkets. As for seasonal stuff, often I will keep it (for instance I still have Halloween wands lying around), but then I find myself just having it sit there in the bank and never using it (this happened with my 1 remaining Mechanical Yeti charge, for instance). For stuff that's seasonal and not BoP, I just send it off to an alt.

Vendor all that crap, the 1 copper you will receive from the shoulders will be worth it.

I also hold the faith.

I also have my complete sets of Nightslayer and Bloodfang squirreled away, along with every 55+ quest reward(Argent Avenger ahoy!), the first Heartseeker, Mongoose Boots, and Shifting Cloak on the server, and every epic item I've ever owned. I even still have my first skinning knife from when I was just a newbie. I may have a slight problem with inventory space :)

Heh. Speaking of carrying things around, anyone remember the rumor that a Rabbit's Foot in your bag meant you had a higher percentage chance of epics? I had one of those 1-60. :/
