I've been looking for some help with respecing my priest and have run into some trouble, I can't really decide whether I should go 5/5 unbreakable will or wand spec. I figure that if the MT gets feared and I resist it, its not helping anyone im just pulling aggro and messing stuff up so why not have the wand spec?

Here's the spec I've come up with so far, any advice would be appreciated. Thanks guys.

The idea would be to remove unbreakable will and get wand spec.

Unbreakable Will is a great way to die on Onyxia phase 3 15% of the time, but that's about the only time it's really going to hurt. If both MT and OT get feared on Nefarian you have bigger problems. And as an added bonus, I'm fairly sure that Unbreakable Will allows you to resist Huhuran's silence (but not the DoT, for whatever reason).

As an alliance priest, a dwarf one even, i never have any problem with the MT getting feared. Id take unbreakable will over wand spec any day. Id imagine it might be different for horde tho.

I like Unbreakable Will because if you do resist a fear you can still Fade. It's happened to me a lot and Fading usually does the trick. It also has some usefulness in PvP which is a plus. My spec is pretty close to yours but the random point you have in Silent Resolve I have in Martyrdom. IDK if it's the optimal thing to do, but it procs often enough and is obviously very good.

I figured it wouldn't be worth spending points in the crit talent for holy spec and that even though inspiration is great, I would be better off without it since I shouldn't rely on my crits all that much anyways. So I went for the spec I linked thinking that would be my best bet.. I guess it does make more sense to have unbreakable will as an alliance player since we have fear ward.

There's a good thread around here somewhere on the benefits of Inspiration. The consensus was basically in favor of it.

I understand your hestitation to rely on crits, but the function for Inspiration uptime is vastly more sensitive to the number of heals cast on the target than it is to the crit rate of the casters. Don't worry too much about your crit rate-- keeping the buff up on a tank is a team effort, and your raid will benefit more from having 3 Inspiration healers at 5% crit than it would from 1 healer with 15% crit.
