One thing I noticed off hand is that battlegroup 10 has servers from release (Deathwing) and servers that have only been out one month (Lethon). A little rediculous.

Does anyone know if they are still planning on doing the whole "Ilvl grouping" thing? Or was that just a rumor?
If so, looks like queues for Mug'thol and Korgath could be rediculously long. The rest of the servers in our grouping are completely not progressed. Think I saw about 2 C'thun killing guilds total in the other 16 servers.
Well, the PTR notes say nothing about grouping by Ilevel. Looks like some realms PvPers are going to be in trouble, at least you get a token for losing.
Also the page does not load for me, I guess it is a popular thing ;).
Millions of words are written annually purporting to tell how to beat the races, whereas the best possible advice on the subject is found in the three monosyllables: 'Do not try.'
It appears the realms are indeed grouped by site, if Battlegroup 11 is any indication. Those 5 realms were some of the most recently moved/upgraded realms and are consequently in a tiny group.
Being on an RP realm, I feel bad for all the undergeared players; but it will be interesting to see how skilled other realms are.
I wonder if you will be able to see which realm players hail from while playing.
Quite frustrating right now, can't get the battlegroups page to fully load. Everything else is working fine for me, and I've tried it in two different browsers now. Could someone copy the list here, or send me a PM with it.
Anyways, I've been looking forward to these cross server BGs and at the same time dreading them. Alliance on Gurubashi currently enjoys zero queue for all 3 BGs. The added competition might be nice, though I still yearn for a true ladder rather than the pointless honour farming. Although since there is a much larger pool of players to pick from now, they might prioritize Group vs Group a lot more. It would at least be a nice start.

There was a blue post about that a few weeks ago. The tag over your name will say your server then name, so Arthas - Vanick and Icecrown - Vanick would how you would see people with the same name.

I'm looking forward to cross-realm BGs with both anticipation and trepidation. I am worried about losing a lot of comraderie with the Alliance I regulary play against in Warsong, but I look forward to more games which provide a challenge. Cenarion Circle is not a well progressed realm and that problem is only made more apparent when raid guilds queue up for PvP, namely the challenging fights are few and far between.
I'm still curious to see if they'll implement 2 queues - Server & Battlegroup. There's some value to regularly fighting people on your server, it's kinda fun to run into your peers outside of AQ/Naxx (at least on a PvE server, though I suppose it's a different kind of fun on PvP's)
Coming from a PvP server about to be grouped with the newest RP server... if there is one thing worse then pugging with gibbering idiots, its pugging with carebear gibbering idiots. Honestly, the fantastic thing about the WC3 PvP was that you found your own level. If you played a couple of nights a week, a couple of hours a night, you found your level. You didn't have to play with complete morons, and you didn't have to play with micromangaing gods. Knowing bliz, when they finally get around to putting matchmaking in, they will do it on something stupid like average gear level, allowing noobs with dreadnaught to get crushed by pros with warlord's.

Its not world of warrior craft as much as blizzard would have you believe.

I'm not sure what you are trying to say, or what you are trying to say I am saying. So let me clarify.
If the matchmaking system uses average ilevel, it will overvalue players, especially those from PvE servers, wearing epics of nearly level 90. It will undervalue those who spent a lot of time on PvP, who use PvP rewards with a level in the low 70s, even those items are as good if not better for PvP. Skill >> gear level, especially when the skilled people have PvP focused gear.

I was stating that if it matched up anybody but Warrior with someone else, the other person would probably win because everybody elses PvE gear can semi double as a useable PvP set.
Well TBH, i would bet our MT could shieldslam down a PvP warrior =\.

More skulls for the low level PVPers? I love low level PVP, I have a twinked out level 38, he's just as cute as a button, +15 agi on both weapons ^_^. It seems there is a strong alliance WSG group in the low level PVP on M'G, and the horde is crap, as opposed to 4 months ago when it was the Horde doing all the damage.
<+kenlyric> people who say they want less complex games are just trying to cover up the fact that they are bad at games

Kind of a shameless derail here, but since you mentioned it I have to wag my finger at this statement. I know some warriors agree with me, Rule from Immortality had a great post on his forums with an ideal pvp set that put him around 7.1k unbuffed hp and incorporated a few pieces of dreadnaught. He sited that a blizzard developer once said "If we want to make raid encounters impossible, we just increase the mob's hp". While this is a bit of a bloated statement when you are considering a 7k base health pool, you have to admit it has a point.
Yesterday I logged on and had an hour and 40 minutes left on a flask of the titans from tanking the night before. I was sitting at 6500 hp in my pvp gear and I was in a dandy mood because of it. I queued up for some BGs, got in a group and got put up against a pug horde group that happened to have 2 EJ casters in it, Archz was one and some unfortunate warlock who's name escapes me was the other. Archz being one of the regular pvpers of EJ was running around, doing his thing, slaying dudes when all of the sudden we find eachother 1v1 in the middle of the field in warsong gulch. He sheeps me and then unloads on me, blowing every instant and cooldown he had up at the time. I was at 45% when the onslaught was done, popped lifegiving gem and could only imagine the look of bewilderment his face may have expressed at the time as I proceeded to destroy him.
So yeah I guess you can say dreadnaught doesn't have the stats that an average pvp warrior desires, but +hit and massive stamina is more than I could personally ever ask for and I know my ideal pvp set in the future is going to incorporate a few pieces (not to mention it looks fuckin sweet.)

To contribute something useful to the thread now, Group 9 is going to be a god damn bloodbath and I feel sorry for the other servers in our group, as many have said. Archimonde used to be a powerhouse, but since Nurfed went to dethecus I imagine it isn't as strong horde side. :-/
Well, instead of leveling up and equipping ourselves on a PVE server then transferring to a PVP server and owning people (like a certain nameless guild got to for free), I guess we'll just continue equipping ourselves on a PVE server and kill pvp server players with our bluebie epics. By 'we' i mean anybody on a pve server.
Great job uh, with that whole pve-pvp server transfer ban thing blizzard.

Dunno, Horde looks pretty solid in Battlegroup 5. We're transferring to Black Dragonflight next week so that'll make it even better, hopefully.
