Ok i am playing horde, i have pretty much decent dps equip : cts/maladath - deathdealer/bf, earthstrike i have about 14 chance to hit 975 ap and 26 crit

Recently a HW joined our guild( qsr but no other gear except hw), and he seems to have much more dps than i can handle:/ does this mean that on higher end weapons rogues fall behind ?

I am using the std 20/31 build

plz assist :p

You kinda slipped telling what class the HW was.

Also, if you can give some numbers on etc. your ebonroc dps for comparison.

Omagad, sorry :p well the warrior is Orc HW, using hw axe at the moment.

Considering unbuffed status using only motw and wf on single target i got 435 dps in comparison to his 510+

also here is a profile of my equip http://ctprofiles.net/2488264

keep in mind that he is orc, so has 305 axes, and has the advantage of the better weapons over you and *just* hwl gear is pretty insane for dps warriors

also you arent making mention of how you spent your combo points and what fight those dps meters are from

You should probably also consider that the warrior has no aggro mitigation and DPS warriors have a tendency to die quite often because of this. You may not be doing as much DPS as him in that gear, but he won't be able to sustain that sort of DPS through most fights.

As a combat sword rogue with 3/3 SnD you should be able to start fights with a 2-3cp SnD, then build to 5cp SnD, then drop a 5cp eviscerate, and finally spend ~3cp on SnD. The 2-3cp SnD at the beginning of the fight is the most efficent way for a sword user to get SnD up right away, while still using most of your initial energy on SS. After this buildup, you get into the 5/5/3 cycle which is very effective (5snd/5evis/3snd, repeat). Also you should use BF whenever its up and time AR/BF with your Earthstrike.

Also, feel free to replace eviscerate with rupture depending on the armor of the boss.

Edit: What you are doing by dropping 3cp SnD is inefficient. The higher cp finishers that you use, the more likely you are to get 25 energy back from relentless strikes. This is why, even though a 1cp SnD seems best because it has the highest duration per cp spent, it is very energy inefficient which kills you on sustained DPS.

Jin'Do is a horrible fight to base your DPS off of - you should be running around killing totems, then back to the boss, then killing shades, then back to totems, etc etc. For all you know, that warrior may have said "F*** the totems I'm a DPS whore" and just stayed on Jin'Do the whole time while you were running around actually doing your job. Hard to say. Try getting a comparison from a fight that lets you both pretty much go all out on one target.

Try using normal English, but I agree find fights that you can go all out on... then compare.

might be interesting to see the warrior gear too, if you have a profile of any kind to link.
