I am just curious as to how EJ or any other guilds distributes items to make Tier 2.5 items.
In your opinion which class would benefit the most?

Well lately, we have issues with which class should get priority on the Qiraji Bindings.

For a priest, I personally think this is more of a PVP set. But their next argument is, it's needed for Naxx to MC the mobs to tank Instructor boss, although I've heard the Bloodvine set is good enough for that encounter.

So basically I'm just asking for input. (I looked thru the forums and didn't find a post).

Thank you for your time. :)

The only priority we had was no priests could get Oracle until Naxx opened. Other than that it was FFA by points.

A bloodvine set is all you need for instructor so they don't "need" Oracle.

We didn't let priests get Oracle until 1.11 hit. A handful were a bit annoyed, but in the long run I think it's for the best. Having as much Deathdealer and Doomcaller and so forth in our raid as we possibly can really is a boon in DPS-intensive Naxx fights. Once we started making Naxx progress, we relaxed priority on the prior tier, which is how we usually approach things. No need to deny a priest Oracle so a rogue can get Deathdealer that he'll replace with Bonescythe in a couple of weeks. But when Deathdealer was the optimal choice for that slot, it was a different story. I expect every priest in EJ will eventually get a set of Oracle and every druid will eventually get a set of Genesis, if only for leveling in the expansion. Everyone who wants it will be able to get it.

But that sort of system fits in well with our raiding culture where people really try to improve their ability to contribute on raids. Even the most eager of priests couldn't really offer a solid argument for when they'd break up their 8pc Trans bonuses to wear a few pieces of Oracle in any meaningful raid setting, and when you have a rogue using shitty Bloodfang Spaulders drooling over the token, using the token to make an item that is never going to see real use inside a raid zone just seems silly. Of course if we had a dedicated shadowpriest that'd be different.

Well we currently do not have any priests with 8/8 trans since it just doesn't drop for us. We have priests with 5/8, 6/8, etc. So priests are replacing their current trans pieces with Oracle. I'm the only priest currently more interested in finishing my 8/8 trans. And we actually just started Naxx, no bosses down yet.

thanks again. =)

I could see using Oracle to fill in missing Transcendence pieces, but the only Oracle piece that's a clear upgrade for a healer in the raid setting is the shoulders since Transcendence shoulders really suck.

There's plenty of non set healing gear in aq that are clearly better than both trans and oracle. There's no real arguement for oracle shoulders for healing when with ternary drops from an earlier boss. I know I dropped 8 piece trans along time ago, currently sitting on 4 piece and would be 3 piece if the C'thun belt ever dropped. Only a couple of our priests have got any oracle and they're the heavy pvpers although I will most likely pick it up eventually if just for shits and giggles.

I think the oracle head is better than trans head for healing... just the right blend of +healing and regen that I like.

I can't really make much case for the other stuff though... the shoulders are better than trans, but then there's better healing stuff out there you can put on your shoulders.

In any case my guild is more pve to gear up for pvp kind of guild, we dont' make as fast progress in later instances for it, but that's how we go about stuff... and the oracle 3 piece (and the 5 piece, to a lesser extent) is sweet for pvp. And our healers heal in pvp for the most part, so they dont' really take gear that's obviously meant for +dmg causes only.
