Turn left after Rajaxx, do the 4 trash pulls, drop off the pipe into the water, engage Buru. After that head back up the ramp, take a right around the ledge and over the rock (3 more trash mob pulls on the way) and you're more or less back in Rajaxx's room.

Moam we found was significantly easier spreading the mana users in a circle aorund him, 2 warlocks and 2 priests easily kept on top of the drain and we had him at 8% before the adds spawned (we're not hugely geared, still in BWL).

Jin'Do, a lot of people will tell you it's a waste, but draining his mana at the start of the fight and keeping it drained via a Hunter sting means he doesn't drop the healing totems. He only has 27k mana, so it's a pretty quick drain.
Damn. You just beat me to it. Flabbergasted no one else has mentioned the mana-draining of Jin'Do. One single Viper Sting keeps him under ~100 mana (what's needed for a heal totem) once he's burned down, and you get them VERY rarely after that. You still get Brain Wash, and we switch all dps to these (and to shades) when they're up.

We've never used a bear tank either. We just double tank him (it's not like this is a new concept by the time you reach Jin'Do, since you basically have to triple-tank Hakkar to be safe (well, we do)).

Moam is just a stupid fight, period. Though I admit I didn't know they could be frost trapped. It sounds like that little tip could make it a whole lot easier, since we barely ever take 3 Warlocks to AQ20 (compare to the utility of mages on Ossirian for dps AND decursing).

I LOVE the Ossirian fight (and the Hakkar one) actually, as it's so different to a normal encounter, and always a challenege and interesting. As a rogue I just ride around naked looking for spawns to ping the best route for the raid. I usually hate fights basically tuned for 'no melee dps' like Ossy, but I have a fun other role, so I don't mind B).

Yeah, actually :). Wherever the dungeon lets me, I like to do the bosses in order of decreasing difficulty - having the harder fights earlier means your raid group is less tired. Buru is quite a fun and easy fight - it's nice to end the dungeon on that. Although order in AQ20 is not a big deal, as long as you're saving 20min and some deaths by avoiding the tunnel. And I always did prefer getting Moam out of the way earlier, rather than later.

Even when we still did ZG, we'd often run it in reverse order starting with jin'do and ending with jeklik before doing hakkar. If you occasionally have difficulty with jin'do you might want to try starting by going left over the waterfall and doing jin'do with a fresh raid group - it can make a fair difference in people's ability to focus.

It's sounding like people here are actually having problems with moam? I've seen a guild completely new to the instance, who've been through MC 2 times, go in there and take down moam on their second try, after adjusting to the encounter.

The raid had 3 warlocks, granted, but only 1 priest...

Maybe some of you should try to minimise the ammount of mana moam drains, instead of just trying to brute force it.

2 things these people did at least was: druids to catform, can't be drained, changed and innervated shamans once, only about 2 shammy's are needed to heal a tank here, nothing else. Hunters and other 41+ yards range people, go to max range, no manadrain.

This reduces the mana income on moam by alot, and allmost makes the encounter trivial.

Oh, I doubt most of the people posting here had much trouble with him the first time, but remember its much, much different zoning in for the first time in a smattering of UBRS blues than it is zoning in with full tier 2. The intended spot for Moam in progression is the former, and at that level of gear and experience I could see him being very difficult.
