So, you're a troll in WoW and a troll on the forums...

First character I made was a tauren warrior in stress test. I thought if i was going to be a warrior and rape people, I should be the biggest race to do it in. While i was playing him, it kind of sucked doing quest solo because people, back then, didn't group unless they really really had to, so i kept dying. When stress test went down and open beta opened up I tried a dwarf paladin because they were VERY similar to warriors, until they nerf paladins /cry, and could heal so i was able stay alive a lot more. Plus dwarves drink a lot of beer and there’s plenty of that going around here in college.

Female Gnome Warrior.

Reasons:
Escape Artist > +5% health and +5 weapon skill (Im not bitter I promise)
Female Gnome emotes are so adorable
My first char on US was a gnome (a mage though) so I figured Id stick with the little buggers

Dwarf warrior. I started playing at EU launch day, havent played beta, had no idea whatsoever about racials and class skills, so I just went for the looks and took dwarf as it's the only Alliance race that doesnt look gay.

Male Troll because I wanted to be different from most of the other Priests. The Troll part was correct, but by some curious fluke I ended up on the only server in which the majority of Troll Priests were Male Trolls. And as it turned out the racial spells were actually better for PvE then the Undead racials, so that turned out alright, not to mention that using Deviate Delight + Shadowguard and not using any obvious Priest weapons means people in PvP assume you're a Shaman and ignore you!

Trolls looked bad ass and they're the master race so it was only natural that I pick one for my Hunter.

I still maintain that Undead look the best in DPS plate (sometimes i wish i'd rolled Orc though) and have the best animations.

I picked tauren for my warrior because I felt the 2h mace was entirely too awesome to pass up.

My druid.. well.. not much choice there.

I rolled a night elf rogue (ung) because my brother rolled a night elf druid and we wanted to start in the same area. How stupid were we to make our first characters alliance, and how stupid am I to keep playing a a NElf rogue. ( Racials suck, animations suck, jokes suck, mount sucks... wtb human female rogue please. D; )

I originally wanted to play a Gnome because they look silly, however some friends decided to start playing Horde side. So my 1st character was an Orc warrior. Reason being I always played warrior types in RPGs of any kind and Orc look harder than any other class in plate in my opinion. Things didn't quite go to plan in my 1st guild and it split so I started playing a Gnome for fun and eventually he became my main. Slightly annoyed now that I didn't make him a warrior though as there is nothing sillier than a Gnome in plate. Still I look silly enough running round wearing nothing but goggles!

I rolled a human because I didnt know how awesome gnomes were at the time -.-

Funny... that's how I picked my alt...

Male Tauren: warstomp, +5% health, huge character model.

I could have gone orc and been just as happy though.

Female Nelf.

Tried out a male human in open beta. Didn't like the looks of male alliance overall so decided on a female. Since I've always liked elves, no matter what game, it was nelf for me.

Didn't know anything about the game when I started at release more than that the rogue I started the last day of open beta looked intresting.
I haven't regeted the decision. I envy the humans +skill (eventhough I'm dagger so it wouldn't have mattered but still) and their 10% rep (for less grindage).

I hate Gnomes.

Simple as that. So given that my friends were alliance and there were only 2 choices for mages, I think that should explain my reasoning!

Human Female was the best looking sprite on Alliance side. Also, I had been planning on rolling a human (or half human) rogue ever since I first heard of MMOs if I ever got one.

Aesthetics. Female trolls look the best out of the horde's options.

That and the whole "Trolls are the master race" thing.

First character was an undead mage, I'd swap that to a female troll in a heartbeat if I could, screw wotf.

Male night elf because I'm not a mangina and I like to jump around a lot so flipping > *

Horde guilds don't know what they are missing with the night elf flip during buffs.

troll coz i decided to play horde and they had highest basic agility ! damn how stopid i was : )

Since my character was going to be a fanatical priest, I picked his race based on the charisma of its leader - and what better choice than Banshee Queen Sylvanas the First, Dark Rose of the Forsaken, Protector of Tirisfal, Our Lady of Death and Rebirth (may Her exalted reign last forever)?
