At first I thought it may have been an addon or UI anomaly, but then another member of the raid complained of the same thing.

I could understand if we were buffing beyond reason and the effect was pushed off as a result, but it was a normal ho-hum BWL clear and beyond normal raid buffs we were just popping consumables to speed up the drudgery.

It was a little comical seeing my player grow in size then quickly shrink back to normal.
It's a model size thing. Move away from the wall before using the firewater, and it'll stick.

This has happened to me a few times, and its quite annoying. It seemed to me that I would lose my firewater buff if I put on +30 str Juju power right after it, however, if I applied Juju first, THEN firewater they stuck.

it sounds like the same problem i sometimes get with the berserker buff in WSG. if i run out of the hut at the wrong angle the buff goes away. i think it has something to do with model size and collision.

Same thing happened to me a bunch this weekend. Typically I just run in mounted, and run out staying mounted. I found if I didn't jump directly out and hit a doorframe or something, I'd lose the buff as soon as I got out of the hut. Lost many many buffs that way.

It's an anti-exploit device. If you get an effect which increases your model's size, it checks to see if the increased size would clip part of you through the terrain/objects; if so, the effect is immediately canceled. So, as has been suggested, stay away from walls and doorways when taking firewaters or picking up the berserker buff in battlegrounds.

Wow, now that I think back, this exact same thing has happened to me numerous times. I suppose I had simply dismissed it without thought in the heat of combat, but yeah, there have definitely been times where I've lost beserking for no apparent reason immediately after picking it up.

Anyway, back to the topic at hand.

Thanks so much for pointing this out ;)

I used to think it was because i tried mounting to quickly, so my character revereted to its original size... but it absolutely boggled me when my firewater kept getting wasted as I was in the hallway waiting to attack cthun, after 5 firewaters i decided to give up.... haha

God, I hope they didn't try to fix something involving the coding of all enchants and buffs with a hotfix...

yeah, i liked that message they gave us right after our server reset. "Don't enchant any of your items now", or something like that.

Yes, one of our warriors got 15 agility on his Faerlina sword last night, lost it this morning, petitioned a GM earlier today to ask what happened and have the enchant or the mats restored, got no where with it, got it enchanted again, lost it again, and then it magically reappeared after the rolling restarts tonight.

We had our mt get pushed into battlestance today... on loatheb... on the attempt we got buffs beyond reason. Needless to say, it didn't go well and there were quite a few frustrated raiders.

Condolences. :(

On our super-buffed run this week we had our MT lose stance+stoneshield simultaneously, but he managed to react quickly enough with last stand to save himself. We had a fun "hey where did that flask go" wipe on Maexxna today, too.

Couple of our rogues were complaining about it yesterday, so the bug still persists. :(

Edit: ... I need to start reading the entire thread before replying to a specific post. ;)

I'm being nit-picky here, but wouldn't it be that he got pushed out of stances completely? Defensive Stance is a passive buff that subtracts damage and adds aggro. Battle Stance is another passive buff that subtracts aggro. So it wouldn't be .9* damage + 1.3* threat or .8* threat, it would simply be 1* for both (which is otherwise impossible for a warrior to reach).

Either way it definately sucks :(

I wonder how many times this has been brought up to the devs, I really hope we see a fix for this. Say a tank has 21 buff slots to work with, Battleshout, 5/8 Wrath Proc(8/8 if they wear it), Shield Block, Blood Rage, Bezerker Rage, there are so many self cast buffs a warrior has that even marginally buffed for farm content bosses you could lose stuff. Not mention if your running, Flask of the titans, Elixir of Fortitude, Dirge's Chops, Mongoose, Superior Defense, Stoneshield, and the list goes on and on :(

One easy fix way to keep track might be to use a Addon that will display all your buffs (I think discord can do this) as when setting it up you set how many you actually want it to display.

Hopefully we see a hotfix for this soon as if Blizzard intended us to have 32 buff spots to work with, Invisible Apply Aura modifications shouldn't count towards that I wouldn't think, and if it did they should not interfere with player buff / potions.

They're probably going to fix it in the expansion. The buff slots are being taken up by enchantments from items. Since they're revising how item buffs work in expansion (with jewels and stuff) it will work then.

As for monitoring buffs, http://www.curse-gaming.com/en/wow/a...ff-filter.html has the option to count the number of buffs on you. It works by checking the highest buffid that a player has on at the time, so you'll have to know what your limit is as it ignores the invisible buffs. It can also be used to check for the temp buffs that have a chance of knocking stuff off (Wrath procs etc) or important buffs that could get knocked off (Flask of the Titans). It won't display all of the buffs on a player though.

In patch 1.12, all warrior stances, all flasks, and all shapeshifts are given higher priority so that they can’t be knocked off by lesser buffs.

Awesome, and I am glad you remembered the Druids too.
