Okay, I got the idea from the warrior thread. Here's my example.
Okay, I understand that +15 agi on gloves is the clearly superior winner, as well as the ZG enchants. However, with the new change to the way they drop, I find the odds of me ever getting one increasingly bleak. So... With my gear (
http://ctprofiles.net/62905 ), and 'Goose/Giants pots, I theoretically get about 600 dps. We're rounding to that for easier math. Using Chalon's spreadsheet, I get about 3.30 more dps from +8 agi on one slot.
Running meters, I usually get around 60% of my damage as white attacks. So if around 360 of my total 600 dps is white, then isn't, based on the 1% enchant, that a 3.6 dps increase? Which makes +haste better than +agi at that gear level?
You'd think the benefit of +haste would also ramp up as more and more +hit is acquired, since it's pretty much only going to my white damage nowadays as I add more anyways, and thus the overall percentage of my total damage would shift closer in favor of my white damage.
A quick run through of gear far superior to mine seems to favor +haste scaling better than +8 agi as well.
Are my calculations true, or is this all just a waste of bandwidth?
