I'm sorry if there this has been brought up before or so but I thought it could be an intressting subject.

Unlike casters apart from diffrent resistances and immunitys on bosses physical damage dealers will see their damage vary alot depending on the armor of the bosses we fight.

Well my question is this are there any confirmed documented armor values for all the bosses?
Since people seem to datamine alot of stuff out of the game is this something that people could have extracted or in any other way gotten hold off.

Nobody has ever really bothered, because CoR+Sunder+FF is a static amount of possible reduction. If you can't do anything more to improve your lot, what's the point of tormenting yourself needlessly?

Wodin its 04.40 in the morning here its the time of the night when you stop by and think woow wouldnt it be intressting to know if fankriss have 3200 armor or 2900.

Ahh well point taken i guess It can be a bit meaningless subject but it would still be cool to see it listed if only just for the sake of it.

For what it's worth there's an easy way of measuring it - use Kick or Hamstring and then run it through the mitigation formula.

Do a search, you should be able to find multiple threads on this topic. I think one found average armor after sunder was around 1800ish, while some mobs have a whole lot more, ie Garr.

but yeah, just kick/hamstring and see what you get, and that's your current armor.

I think the thread I mentioned even has a mod to measure mobs armor actively with kick, but I don't know how well it works.

ArmorRedox says it shows the percentage of reduction the target has on your damage.
TargeArmor says it shows "effecive" armor not actual armor.

Both of these mods have reported "irregularities" in the reported values according to the comments posted.

The irregularities for TargetArmor have to do with CoR, FF and Sunder.

If you're really interested, I hacked up the mod to 'sort of' display the numbers acocunting for that, but I thinkthere might be a bug with it somewhere. IF you want my hacked up code (that among other things massively breaks localization) I'll fire it off to you- I couldn't get in touch with the original mod author to talk to him about it. Just drop me a PM.

Most bosses seem to be in the 3900-4.5k range.

Armor Redox is simply 100% incorrect on raidmobs. Don't bother with it.

I have talked with peope using the mentioned mods and read about them and as mentioned from what I've seen they are not reliable.

I've often wondered myself, since it would be important in the case of Badge of the Swarmguard (and i'm sure there's other things with -armor ...)

I find a Feral Druids Swipe is an excelent way of measuring, as it does 100 Damage, but I rarely pay attention to how much damage it does in the situations I use it (ie. tanking) and am usually Resto spec, being at top healer.

Well.
My hack to Target Armor is actually fairly reliable, though it does NOT take in Badge of the Swarmguard. The numbers 'seem' to match up, and it tends to on players see through Sunder/FF/CoR to pin down armor to within a couple hundred, often within 10 after long arena tests.

So if you swear off Expose/Badge/whatever, you can give it a shot, and call me an idiot for modifying it horribly...

The basic issue with BOTH mods listed is that neither handles Block, Glancing or armor reduction effects, obviously highly important in boss fights. I just modified it on a basic level to drop out Glances/blocks and scan the debuff slots for the armor reductions- it'll still bug out if there's anything but a top rank, or some armor removal it doesn't understand. Thus far it gives moderately reliable numbers across multiple people, if those numbers are actually correct is...another question.

Thunderclap is also a good way to measure it. And if you don't have TF someone will prolly do it anyway.
