ah i misunderstood your earlier post, thought you said that you had to win a minimum of 10 games (with no losses) to get the top spot while you really just said that the points you get for being on top are the same, regardless of the amount of wins

still, just like in chess one might be able to keep their rating up by consistently beating the #4 team without ever facing #2 and #3
min/maxing the risk-reward if you like, granted, its not as easy as being able to handpick your games (like in chess) but with some cross server communication i can see it happening that the 2nd most skilled team is going to check if the best team (skillwise) is offline before queueing up
at least the benefits of this tactic arent as great as with using win% to determine ranking

I don't know about Arcane torrent in arenas. From what I understood, you need to "charge" it by draining people. This probably has a cooldown on its own, and will be deleted when you zone in the arena. So you'd need to charge it during the fight, that sounds pretty balanced to me, you're spending a global cooldown, or even a casting time for all we know, to charge an AE silence. Compare this to warstomp which pretty much like an AE silence on its own and has no prereqs, it's not that unbalanced. Many people made it sound like blood elves will be the new undeads, with overpowered racials(zomg underwater breathing! ^^), but to me it only looks like a fun system, that adds a tactical choice to the class(try to get max charges, even tho you might lose them before being able to use or use asap but not gain full benefits).

I hope the lvl 1-20 beta phase starts soon, I wanna see for myself these new "overpowered" racials ^^
