Hmm, I'll have to check that out here in Orange County. I remember it being one of the top-rated beers on BeerAdvocate and I've been getting requests to bring it to the east coast..

So I finished the Sierra Nevada Glissade I bought, and found it to be a good beer. Nothing overly special but it did have a good flavor. Today I bought some Sam Adams Noble Pils, which sounds like it will be pretty good.

Well after reading through most of these pages, I've come to find that I've not heard of 90+% of the beers that you folks are listing here, I'm going to try some of the ones you have listed as extremely tasty and try to push away from my Corona.

Bought me 2 six-packs of Prima Pils yesterday (it was $7.49 each at World Market) because I'd heard good things about it. Other than being a bit too carbonated pouring out of the bottle, it didn't disappoint. It has a lot of great flavor with just enough hops to give it a bite, yet it's still light and super easy to drink.

Now that I've had this, I'm pretty much done with Urquell.

Be careful though: once you experience real beer, you can't go back to the cheap stuff. This means you will gain pounds, and lose money

Red Chair Northwest Pale Ale is available at TJ's in the Seattle area, FWIW. It's pretty good and easily the best six pack they carry right now.

Since I likely won't be finding it in my area, I'll do my post-EBF duty by recommending Short's Brewery in MI to anyone in that state. I liked every one of their brews that I tried. They have a lambic-style Key Lime beer that is almost like a soda. They also has a great ginger-infused beer, a plum rye beer, a turtle (chocolate/caramel/nut) stout, and a caramel apple beer.

Where Can I Find it? — Short's Brewing Company

See you, auntie.

I really like the Sam Adams Noble Pils, it's hoppy but not overly so. This is my favorite style from Sam Adams now, although I know I haven't tried every style they do.

For anyone who is from/visiting the Virginia area, try Star Hill Jomo -- it's excellent!

Mendocino Brewing Company has a Spring Seasonal Bock out right now. After having it on tap at a local bar, I had to grab a few six packs. Very pleasant with a nice kick, although perhaps a little on the sweet side for a bock.

Picked up a variety pack of Dundee last night and was pleasantly surprised with JW Dundee's Honey Brown Lager. Based in NY, managed to get my hands on this pack in TX.

I have a soft spot for Honey Brown, it was one of the first beers not named Miller High Life or Pabst Brew Ribbon I ever drank. Definitely worth trying. Apparently they're actually owned by Genesee which I didn't realize. Good beer's a good beer, though.

Gotta pimp my local breweries once again: New Belgium's seasonal has rotated back to Mighty Arrow. Very highly recommended for any pale ale fans. It's big on flavor and aroma hops but light on bitterness. They also recently released their first IPA, called Ranger. I'm much less high on that one, if for no other reason than that I can hardly tell it apart from Mighty Arrow. It's pretty generous to even call it an IPA. Not a bad beer by any means, but Dogfish Head and Russian River don't exactly have anything to worry about.

DFH Fort is great. It's got a real beer-y flavor that isn't overpowered at all by the 'ton+ of raspberries' in each batch, although you can definitely taste them. At 18%, it's also a bit strong. I'm really tempted to buy another bottle to age (or hit up the alehouse and see if anyone wants to go in on an ~07)

See you, auntie.
