Pretty sure that Boulevard just lost the ability to be called a microbrewery within the last year or so due to their size. I guess there are regulations about such things. At least that's what I was told... Could have been false.

Yea as far as unfiltered wheat, boulevard and easy street are both excellent. But you aren't going to be finding either outside of the midwest/colorado region.

Also just remembered a really good stout I had while in Minneapolis.

Bell's Java Stout

The satisfying elements of both stout and coffee come together in this full-bodied treat. A marriage of Sumatra's best with rich chocolate and roasted malt provides for a truly enlightening beer

yummy

Boulevard is classified as a regional brewery. Not sure where I read that, but I do recall seeing it at some point in the last year or so.

Someone needs to make us a beer dps spreadsheet with the beer name, the number of recommendations (maybe how recommended it) and a brief description of it. I need a cheat sheet next time I go to the wine and beer center that has the stuff listed in the thread.

A friend and I got bored at the grocery store the one day and decided to try out some stuff. Of the random beer we grabbed that we had never heard of before, UFO (http://www.harpoonbrewery.com/index.cfm?pid=28519) ended up being the best.

Its an unfiltered wheat beer... the only one I've ever had so I can't really compare it to other unfiltered wheat beers, but compared to most beer that I've had it was definately good enough to warrent another purchase.

I tried that sam adams cherry wheat the other day, I thought it was good, but a bit syrupy for me (though I'm not a big fan of cherries to start with). Next time I hit up a beer store I want to try and pickup a lambic or two and see how they compare, or maybe that Saison from Ommegang.
I just picked up a bottle of Rogue's Half-e-weizen and was surprised to see that's the Rogue your avatar came from =)

currently I have in bottles or on display:

Dead Guy Ale (the one that started this craze) http://www.rogue.com/brews.html#deadguy
Brutal Bitter http://www.rogue.com/brews.html#brutal
American Amber http://www.rogue.com/brews.html#amber
Kell's Lager http://www.rogue.com/brews.html#kells
Chocolate Stout http://www.rogue.com/brews.html#chocolate
Chipotle Ale http://www.rogue.com/brews.html#chipotle
Shakespeare Stout http://www.rogue.com/brews.html#shakespeare

As a kansas city local, I can attest to this fine beverage. Also, I have a new avatar that is awesome.

Hmm, Desperados is some crazy shit. Not half bad, but I wouldn't go as far as calling it beer.

Relwin and I are fortunate enough to live 5 miles away from one of the two Dogfish bar/restaurants in the nation, and he loves their beers. They also have fantastic calamari if you're ever by one!

I am green with envy!

I am trying to arrange a trip to the east coast just to visit Dogfish Head. Another great brew from them is the Shelter Pale Ale. I recommend it to everyone.

So is anyone here attending the Great American Beer Festival this year?

Arrogant Bastard is tasty, especially on tap. Last night I picked up some Rogue Ale as well; Brutal Bitter, Shakespere Stout and a couple of others whose names escape me. I like my beer the same way I like my women; cold, dark and bitter.

I found three pubs serving Leffe tonight, one of which I was very VERY sure didn't sell decent beer. What the hell happened to their English distribution, I don't know, but it's surely a good sign for things to come.
