Yeah that's true but I'd have to get mostly uninteresting stuff so my wife and I would both drink it. For my situation, it doesn't work unfortunately. It is a good idea though.
A kegerator that will fit a half barrel keg will also fit two sixth barrel kegs...
Had a really great time in San Franciso. Besides the visit to Russian River, I picked up bottles of Midnight Sun Arctic Devil and Lost Abbey Deliverance. Also got to check out the Monk's Kettle which was tiny as hell but seemed quite nice. Their foreign stuff was remarkably overpriced but everything else was decent.
I recently scored a couple of bottles of Dogfish Head's Bitches' Brew. Drank one a few nights ago and it was really good, very dark and smooth. I wish I was closer to Dogfish Head so I could go to their pub a lot, and get the beer that just doesn't make it out here, because so far I've really enjoyed ever beer of theirs that I have tried.
Speaking of Dogfish Head, I started seeing their Noble Rot and Ta Henket up in NY. You can definitely taste the currants in the Noble Rot, some people might say too much. It more more champagne-like with the currents added (kind of like the black & blue/red & white, just not so over the top with fruit).
A few weeks ago I also grabbed a bottle of the Hellhound (having had it on tap and it being fantastic) and was hugely disappointed. It could have been a bad bottle but the stuff was so bad I had to just dump the whole thing.
It's possibly really old at this point. I didn't like it on tap though. I did like noble rot though I didn't realize there were currants in it. I thought it was just two different types of wine stuff in it.
Went to the Bruery RS Celebration this weekend, on a rare cold and raining Southern California day. My wife and I shared 20 taster tickets, so we got to drink a lot, here's a couple highlights:
Sour in the Rye with Kumquats on cask (SITR is good by itself... with the Kumquats though? So good.)
Chocolate Rain (well duh)
Papier (this beer has aged so well. I find it to be far superior to Coton and Cuir.)
Lastly, my wife and I kept getting tasters of Chocolate Rain and Oude Tart w/sour cherries. Then we'd mix them 1 to 1. That shit blew my mind.
I took another look, it says grapes all over the bottle and not currents. I could have sworn it was currents though perhaps after a bottle of that and some other stuff later my memory could be a little hazy
Yeah Noble Rot is made from Grape must and some other wine byproduct (possibly it's noble rot.) Still, I thought it was pretty unique and decent tasting.
edit: Oh and Tyrsis that party sounded awesome. So much cool beer. Too bad you didn't get any special Black Tuesday variants but Chocolate Rain isn't too bad. I'm guessing you'll go to the Black Tuesday release party later in the year where they usually have some cool stuff like S'more Tuesday and such.
With a head already swimming from attempts to study class threads (especially druid) and all the massive changes since I've last played, what better way to join a forum than a beer discussion? Trying new beer is a recently acquired taste, and it's usually very difficult to know where to begin! Being a mid-western native, Fat Tire (regional micro-brew) has been a long time favorite. A sentimental fondness for Bud Light cannot be denied; parody of the song Peaches goes nicely with the drive past the Budweiser factory into Ft. Collins.

If you get Fat Tire, you probably get New Belgium's Shift. Try that instead of Bud Light.
Craft Brewers Conference and the World Beer Cup is about to kick off here in San Diego... the amount of events that are going on is just absolutely nuts. It's on par with San Diego Beer week (except it's only 4 days.)
I went ahead and requested thurs/fri off of work. I'm going to need it.
