I had the pleasure of having a Storm King on cask on the night before my wedding. It was incredible, definitely one of the best beers I've ever had.
I've heard that the Rogue Imperial IPA (that's the one in the silvery metal bottle, right?) is good, but not worth the price. I did once have the Morimoto Imperial Pilsner - it tasted terrible, and had a distinct "cat-pee" odor. It may have been the ceramic bottle, but I doubt it.

I'm not much of a fan of Heineken, especially bottled, but when I was in Amsterdam recently I was drinking it on draft from Extra Cold taps, and fuck was it ever tasty. It was almost like I was drinking a completely different beer.

I live fairly close to the victory brewing restaurant and it sounds like alot of you guys are victory fans. If your ever in southeast PA, check it out. They have the traditional beer/dinner pairings you find at brewery restaurants. I'm a fan of most of their brews, but i detest the golden monkey. Once got a case of it where the bottles were full of some thick sludge. I'm not talking about the usual heavy amounts of golden monkey sediment, but some serious tar...undrinkable. Don't really know who's fault it was.

Interestingly, the time or two I've had Hoegaarden on tap in the States, it's been gross. Worst beer I ever had, outside of maybe Busch Lite.
This past summer, I spent a few nights at a youth hostel in Amsterdam ( Amsterdam Hostels – Book on-line with the Flying Pig youth hostels Amsterdam) and they only had one beer on tap. After throughly enjoying a pint, I asked the bartender what it was and to my surprise she said Hoegaarden. It tasted completely different from what I've had back home, I don't know if I just happened to get a bad batch or what but it was like night and day.
Edit: And no, I was not hallucinating this due to other substances I may or may not have enjoyed later on in the evening...

Hah nice, I stayed at the Pig downtown as well
They also had another great local brewed beer there on tap, can't remember the exact name, but it Gronnsham/Grondham or something like that -- it was a truly delicious lager and I drank a whole lot of it. Was quite nice lying around smoking hash until 6am listening to dub reggae as well =P

While I'm no Heineken fan, I still think my single most detested beer is Corona. At the cost of derailing, I'd be interested in what other people would consider the beer they hate the most.

I can't think of a beer I'd be less excited to drink than standard Budweiser in a can.

Bud Light, anything from Milwaukee's Best, and Natty Light are all worse than Budweiser.
That said, given the choice of Budweiser and dehydration, dry me up.

Tough call, but I'd have to go with Bud Light. The worst micro I can remember was a sampler from Shenandoah. It was really, really bad.
Natty light and beast are staple college beers in Va. You get used to them really quick and I don't really even consider them beer anymore.

Different strokes, I guess.
My neighbor had a cooler full of bud cans for last year's 4th of July brunch, and I would have been more keen on drinking any of the other beers you listed.

See, most of those (with the exception of Bud Regular/Light/Select acknowledge that they're terrible, and are priced accordingly. Corona somehow cons lots of people into drinking its overpriced swill and thinking it's good.
Also, it's weird how each college seems to have their own specific cheap party beers: here in KC it's almost exclusively Natty light at parties, in Boston it's Busch light, at University of Kansas it's High Life Light kegs.

Anyone familiar with Yeungling lager ? It's the staple, cheaper domestic in south east pennslvania, but i know in the last couple years it's become more widely available. Around here, you;ll typically find the kids drinking that.

I went to college in Baltimore in the 90s, and it was all about the Natty Boh. The phenomenon that was Boh Ice came and went during my four years there.
EDIT: Yuengling Lager is available down in Disney World at this point. I used to love it, but either it or my taste has changed drastically.

Michigan had two major currents of thought on party beer: you either went the indie rock/high class route, and bought PBR or High Life (normal, not light), or went the frat boy route and bought whatever was cheapest, typically Milwaukee's Best or Natty Light.
