Yuengling isn't bad, and it is pretty staple on the East Coast and moving inward. It's one of those things I am unlikely to miss until it is gone. Personally, I'd put it around the level of Sam Adams.

On the topic of Pennsylvania beers...
Victory Brewery. Puts out some of the best wheats I've gotten my hands on (that were made in the US). Victory Moonglow (Dunkelweissen) is cream-your-pants-delicious.
Unfortunately, buying beer in Pennsylvania is a PITA.

I like Yuengling more than the SA Boston Lager, to be honest. It's light, tasty and goes well with a basket (or 4) of wings or a bar-burger. The Light variety is surprisingly tasty, too.
And, since it's a running theme the last page or so, Victory's Storm King is indeed my most favoritest stout as well.

Talking about wheat beers, is anyone familiar with Sierra Nevada's Unfiltered Wheat beer? I got a six pack last week, and was surprised to find that it sucked something awful. Usually their beers are great, so I'm curious whether I got a skunked batch or it's just sub-par.
And yeah, I've had Yuengling, but I don't think it's generally available in my area (Boston). Whenever a friend from Philadelphia would come to visit, he'd bring a case, and it wasn't bad.

I had some more Dogfish Head 90 Minute IPA along with a bottle of Sam Adams Hallertau Imperial Pilsner and I much preferred the Dogfish Head. I've grown to like hops over the last year and a half, but the Sam Adams offering was just hops on hops hops without nearly enough malt to actually make it taste like a decent bear. The 90 minute IPA at least attempts to reach some level of balance. so I found it a much more palatable beer.
I did drink both of these at my brother-in-law's house, so I had to make room in the mini fridge for the two 4 packs and that involved clearing some space amongst his case of Miller Lite. I had him try the Dogfish Head first and the look on his face was yet another priceless beer virgin grimace.

For me, Heineken and Rolling Rock fulfill this category. Like I always expect them to be passably drinkable, and am always hugely disappointed. I'm not sure why I keep thinking they'll be drinkable though.
Coronas I can deal with though. Hot summer days, add a lime, and while it's not a good beer by a long stretch, it's certainly passable in its element.
As for worst beer, I prefer just not to think about it. Why ruin the concept of beer with the poor examples?
@docjowles: I'm not a huge fan of wheat beer in general, so I'm not sure that I'm the best person to answer. I can say Sierra Nevada's has not been any worse than any other to the best of my limited knowledge.

Corona is by no means a good beer, but as Denogran states its popularity comes from how easy it is to lie outside in the sun and pack back a dozen of them without feeling like you're going to explode. Girls tend to like it as well, so that's a plus.

Corona Light (yes, Light) is possibly the funniest thing in the world to still be labeled "beer". I mean really, someone thought that Corona was too heavy and needed a lighter alternative.
Even when I am in Mexico and on a beach, I'll drink Tecate first and that is saying something. Dos Equis Amber on the other hand I actually don't mind and it suits beach drinking just fine.

I'm a fan of anything Sierra Nevada, the wheat being no exception. (It's especially good with pizza.) Either we have different tastes or you got a bad batch.

Ah, beer is the grandest of topics in the great state of Wisconsin. Yes, I understand that Milwaukee's Beast is, in fact, named after Milwaukee (a shocker, if ever there was one), but please don't judge all our beer by the standards of the Beast. While we're at it, please don't judge our beer by the standards of anything made by Miller, either. Miller makes a few solid beers, don't get me wrong, but it's far from the best we've got to offer. Best example: Leinenkugel's. I don't know how far Leine's (pronounced: LIE-nees) travels, but if you're anywhere near the Midwest, odds are you can find it. The standard is Honey Weiss (off the tap, it's my favored beer), but they make a real good Red. They've also got a lot of seasonal beers: Oktoberfest, if you want something a little meatier; Summer Shandy, if you want a lighter beer that actually tastes like lemonade; Apple Spice, for a little holiday cheer. I definitely haven't had everything Leine's has to offer, but I've liked just about everything I've had of theirs (Sunset Wheat wasn't all that great for me, but not bad at all).
Now, if you want to get down to the REAL beer, just ignore anything you'd find in more than 5 bars. Microbrews are the way to go.

Tip: Stay far, FAR away from Smuttynose Brewery's Hinami Ale: it tastes as if someone mixed radishes and cherry juice and fermented it into the most undrinkable beverage this side of a wheat-grass milkshake.
On the other hand, Spaten Optimator remains my absolute favorite beer (thanks to this thread for the discovery), its creamy deliciousness remains #1 in my heart.

Though I can hide my cold gaze, and you can shake my hand and feel flesh gripping yours, and maybe you can even sense our lifestyles are probably comparable; I simply am not there.

Left Hands Milk Stout is absolutely horrible.
Left Hands Goosinator is one of my recent favourites though.
Anyone tried the Italian Panil Barriqueè Sour? I'm still cursing myself for not getting all 6 bottles I found.

My arena partner is Newcastle Brown Ale.
Although, come crunch-time and my pocket book is running low...
40oz of Freedom - Get your swerve on for less than $3
I like to run with King Cobra or Mickeys. You Steel Reserve drinkers like the taste of blood too much.
Old English HG800 is for the hardcore or the desperate, most of the time both.
Miller High Life - $7 for a 12 pack - cheap LAN party beer, cheap any party beer, tastes better than Light Beer and 40oz'ers.
When I can afford it, Newcastle is my best friend. I am fortunate enough to have a damn good Irish pub with fresh Guinness on tap as well. I have been to St. James Gate Brewery in Dublin, it is truly a marvelous thing. I spent too much time cruising this thread and drooling over beer. I cant wait to get home and drink more nectar (read: Newcastle.)
AMBROSIA!!!
Unfiltered wheat beers are fantastic! I have grown a taste for Stone Brewery products as well; Arrogant Bastard Ale!
Tsingtao is an awesome Chinese beer. Peroni is a great Italian beer and I hear they have malt liquor products in Italy served on tap. I am also partial to Peroni because the smell from a freshly opened bottle reminds me of some skunky danky green smokeable.
Anywho, peace and Beer!

I can't work out what caused it but I've majorly gone of ales/lagers recently. If I drink anything it's nearly always jaegermeister or jack daniels with a mixer. That said, I can still palette Old Speckled Hen, which is awesome with pizza (even bottled).

I had Tsingtao on tap at WSVG China and actually found it pretty bland. It's a typical American-style watered down lager. Skip it unless you like overpaying for Budweiser.
