Thats the real problem with some of the Shaman set bonuses - they're just too damn good.

3 Piece EF kind of gets overlooked because of the 5 pc EF argument, but before they talented the totem range increase it was virtually indispensable in places, regardless of your view on 5/8 EF. 5 pc EF I'm not that fussed about although some people will try and convince you its worth keeping over SC and even ES Gear @_@.

3 Pc TS is the same - if you're a chain heal caster then 30% increase on the bounces is incredible and one you don't want to part with for a long time. IMO its just like the 3 piece EF bonus and is almost indispensable to the point where it needs to be included in the talent trees. BC maybe? Who knows - but gear upgrades that result in a massive CH downgrade kind of defeat the purpose of "upgrading".

I could not agree with you more Jonno, except to add that I really have found the TS 5 piece useful fairly often. Being able to hit 28% spellcrit for primarily physical damage incoming fights is really remarkably handy. Sure it's situational, but as a situational, it's nice.

Interesting observations, but sadly inaccurate.

Best elemental +dmg - Midnight Haze (Grobb) + Therazane's Touch (AV Exalted) I left out End of Dreams as it's a contencious one.
Best +heal - The Widow's Embrace (Faerlina) + Lei of the Lifegiver (AV Exalted)
Best Mana/5s - Gm/HWL Mace + Digested Hand of Power(Gluth)

A shield figures into none of those. Yes there are good shields but they are not the BEST.

A shield is only good for increasing your AC, and physcial damage is situational. Like I said have a shield handy, and swap to it when you need but why use one ALL the time?

Now back to the derail.
I've seen a little improvement with the Chain Heal change, but then again I used to make sure I targetted someone outside my group a lot of the time. The change just makes group setup a little easier.

3 piece TS is the new Black :)

You know what I can't stop laughing about?

Standard gear progression will involve, of course, full pick of everything in BWL and AQ40 before you get to Naxx gear level. Assuming that the 4H don't get nerfed, and you need to Chain heal.

People will have to equip the TS BP.
