Asked this in another thread, but didn't get any response. Also seen a couple trinket comparison posts about, but its all been about hunters or rogues. I've been wondering whether this trinket is worth getting. Honestly I'm not sure, I would use Deathwing's spreadsheet to test it, but my computer doesn't have a working excel program.

I have BHB, and am working on farming Hand of Justice. The only one of the endgame trinkets anywhere close to being in hand for me would be the one from ZG. I could also probably get the Maelstrom card. I currently use Heroism card and BHB. So how does Earthstrike compare to HOJ and BHB for a dw fury warrior? I know I would love to get the DFT, but that's not realistic at this moment. Thanks.

Microsoft released a program called Excel Viewer, it should be able to look at the spreadsheet. If that doesn't work, OpenOffice should work (and it is free).

For trinkets, assuming you keep BB, the order would be HoJ > Earthstrike > Rune of the Guard Captain (if Horde) > Maelstrom (assuming the mob wasn't highly resistant to nature) > Counterattack Lodestone.

Yeah I have excel viewer and I do have a version of his spreadsheet, but when it loads it loads with top of the line gear. I thought I'd need to manually change fields to do anything, and viewer seems to be read only. Otherwise I just end up looking at a gear setup I'm not going to have anytime soon. :) I'll try OO later though. Thanks for the help though.

popping earthstrike in conjunction with deathwish is pretty slick. I don't think earthstrike is worth the farming though. BHB + HoJ are very easy to get comparatively and are nearly as good. Then i'd just wait to get a drakefang or maybe kiss of the spider and call it a day.

Do these programs allow you to change items via the drop-down menu?

OpenOffice has a fully working spreadsheet program (it also has a document and presentation program) that allows you to create/edit/view MS Excel files.

I don't know what the second link is (possibly a mirror?).

Does Earthstrike stack with Fetish of the Sand Reaver?

The second link is Deathwing's warrior dps spreadsheet.

I'm a Fury warrior and I've got DFT and BTB as my main trinkets and am wondering wether to replace my BTB with ES as well... I have gotten ES already but just cant comfortably feel if its better than BTB or not. It obviously has to do with the rest of my gear outfit as well as personal preference, but I thought maybe there are some people with findings / thoughts concerning the BTB<=>ES switch ;>

The problem with simulating a klicky trinket for melee situation is that you will seldomly be in melee range for 2-3 min straight. As soon as you have to move in and out the klicky ones will become better and better. The same applies to a combination of timered abilities with activating trinkets. If I pop bladefury and ES simultaneously I will gain more than most spreadsheets calculate. Similar kind of uses might be viable for warrior abilities.
Almost all encounters I have been in naxx and most in AQ40 feature pretty mobile fights. Furthermore klicky trinkets gain a lot of utility in enrage fights where you have to pop everything availible in order to burn the boss down.

This has been addressed, artificially, in my spreadsheet. Basically, I have user-input field for trinket cooldown. I'm still working on modeling certain abilities during favorable phases of the fight.

Hm, interesting...haven't worked with your sheet since I don't actively play a warrior. Looks pretty cool :) Nevertheless you can only approximate it for quite a lot of fights imho. OTOH this might be sufficient since it is only a model not a simulation of a specific fight.
My personal take on ES as a rogue is that it is a valuable addition even if I don't equip it on every fight.
