This eurotrash from Magtheridon says hello!
I've been using Valar and Chalon's combat dagger spreadsheet for a long time now, and I've been loving it! However, I'm still looking to optimise my rogue even more, and while searching on the net, I came across mentions of Kalman's spreadsheet several times. Unfortunately, it seems blizzard decided to pull the plug on the old forums, and thus the post goes away aswell... I found a savefile link, but the file was missing. So I was wondering if anyone had a working link, or perhaps simply 5 minutes on MSN so they could send it to me?

Other than that, I'm just posting to show my appreciation and admiration for people like you who go great lengths to calculate all these numbers! (Also the troll rogue who figured out the glancing hit information. Name escapes me at the moment)

God. I didn't host that, and it may or may not be up to date. I'd prefer people not relink versions I'm not maintaining, because I do actually add functionality, even if it's been a few weeks since I did an update.

Currently, the most up to date version is locally hosted by me at:

I need to upload - newest rev has Feint added in (SHUT UP ZELLYN) as well as a preliminary attempt at SF estimation (it basically ignores the potential to waste CP or energy and calculates as if you always benefit fully from SF - i.e. it overestimates rather much). However, it doesn't have 1.12 scaling finishers in yet, because I don't know how lower CP finishers scale with AP.

Thanks a bunch! It looks complicated, but definitely worth getting into! Out of curiousity, what routine do you use assuming you have Blade Flurry, and perhaps AR?

Well it's now listed at 30 DPS + 4 DPS per Combo Point base. So 42 for 3, 50 for 5, a difference of 8. I think I remember my difference between 3 and 5 ticks being about 16, so since it's every two seconds that would mean AP scales with each CP the same.

I'm trying to base this off memory, though, so I'll get some more solid numbers.

I've only had one night to mess with my new spec, which added the 3rd point into ImpSnD and gave me AR. That said, I used Blade Flurry very early in a fight, to be able to use it as often as possible. That hasn’t changed at all. AR I held off for a bit, especially since I managed to pull aggro early on Flamegor the day before patch because of Thistle Tea (our fastest wipe ever, he Shadowflamed on the flip right as he Frenzied). Since I now have more slack, I was using the slack as often as possible to pop BF. I’d vanish slightly earlier, then pop AR. If I was in the middle of a good cycle, I used a 5 pt Rupture in the middle of the AR then went back to 5 cp SnD. If I wasn’t, I used the extra energy simply to Backstab and stuck with 5 cp SnD. Any leftover slack not spent on BF was just used to Backstab while at 5cp waiting for SnD to tick down.

Broodlord is my biggest aggro test, but unfortunately resists were just not working for me last night, so it wasn't very valid.

Savefile *seems* to be functioning again, so I went ahead and released RC1.6 to savefile:

http://savefile.com/projects/728063

Features of RC1.6:

Preliminary SF support - it overestimates the build significantly, but it does estimate it
Feint is supported
BF energy consumption and damage delivered is modeled
1.12 talents are in (Weapon Expertise isn't listed directly, only handled by +skill directly, just like Precision/Malice are only reflected in their results)
1.12 scaling finishers are in, using Tra's values for Rupture and similar scaling values for Eviscerate for lower CP finishers

Have fun, lemme know if you find something broken or which could use improvement. As always: kalman@radiationnow.net
