There's been a lot of screaming about the 25 man cap for Burning Crusade and it seems that a fairly significant number of people from higher-tier raiding guilds post here, so I figured this would be the place to talk about it.

Personally, I don't really see it as quite as much of the problem that a lot of people seem to.

First, all but the very highest tier raiding guilds are going to be busy in Naxx for quite a while. Naxx is big enough and tough enough and has enough gear to keep most raiding guilds busy for many months, at least until next fall and probably longer.

Second : Metric assloads of new instance content. For the first three or four months after the expansion at the VERY least, people in current raidings guilds are gonna be hella busy levelling to 70. In addition to the epic 25 man raid zones, there's also going to be the epic 5 and 10 man dungeons that are going to be drawing a lot of interest. There's going to be stuff in there that people want, I'm thinking, even the people who have some Tier3 already.

My guild is fairly middile-tier and I don't think we're going to have any trouble at all. There are going to be nights we run Naxx. There are going to be nights we have a 25 man group in one of the new zones and some other people in the 5 or 10 man zones or just grinding PvP rep or levelling. There are probably going to be nights we've got two 25 man zones going, and I'm pretty sure that'll keep us busy for at least 9-12 months without anybody getting /gicked or demoted to B-squad.

Although the cream guilds are going to have a lot less left in Naxx by then, I have a hard time believing that any guild that has the kind of coherency it takes to work Naxx is going to be falling apart over this.

My impression is that the guilds that are going to have the real trouble are the loot-train guilds that have to rely on the prospect of imminent epic lootz to hold their guild together. It doesn't really seem like a problem for the truly successful guilds.

Thoughts?

Do we really need 50 topics discussing the same thing?

Yes, this one has been beaten pretty well to death.

I do, however, leave you with these parting thoughts from one of the most brilliant minds in the WoW raiding community: http://www.1up.com/do/newsStory?cId=3152971
