Yea, seems like they've changed most (all?) of the "extra damage to Dazed targets" talents. Too bad the new Focused Power is pretty useless thanks to that.

I am a little disappointed with the change - I was thinking of Shadowfury as an excellent escape tool, like death coil - making it targetable effectively increases the cast time (press my shadowfury hotkey, target with mouse, click). Maybe it will still be fast enough though...talking pvp there.

For PVE it'll be more useful now though, that's for sure.

How about the Unstable Afflictions change? I'm pretty disappointed at the 1.5s cast time. I hate the loss of potential mobility of throwing 4 instant cast DOTs on a target as I back away and send my succubus in to start a drain tanking kill - PVE.

On the upside, did everyone notice they doubled the mana efficiency of Unstable Afflictions? For raids, it will be much more useful - not just a PVP talent anymore?

edit - I was of course looking at the lowest rank and misread the UA mana cost. They did reduce the cost a bit though, to 400 mana for rank 3.

Well, with all talents now released and Blizzard moving into closed beta, it's worth considering what stuff people want answers for. The following is what I'm hoping to see get watched closely / tested thoroughly.

*Rogue, shaman and paladin talents are all in line for changes. We know there's some further fixes to rogues coming for math reasons, and the CMs and Kalgan have been very quiet on shaman and paladin. Shaman and paladin are under the spotlight for the start of TBC, it has been promised that encounter design will be able to require unique attributes of the shaman and paladin. If they half-ass it we could end up with "YOU'RE NOT A GHOST WOLF I'M LOOKING FOR A GHOST WOLF". Giving Blizzard an idea of how shaman dps, paladin dps and paladin tanking go in practice compared to mages and warriors respectivetly is something I hope a number of beta testers do (that probably also goes for druid dps and druid tanking and shadow priest ridiculousness- compare totem of wrath to vampiric touch and then ask yourself which one is meant to be the hybrid class, but I digress).

*Pet scaling, locks and hunters both (and fixing the demonology tree depending on how lock pets go), and new pet abilities (hunter and Felguard).

*The water elemental, so the mages shut up about the frost tree already.

*Once instance mobs become available, whether instance bosses in Outland instances are immune to dazes, poisons, stuns, etc. or whether this daze thing is still in play.

*The truth of warrior rage normalization

Gogo, post info on the Water Elemental already!

Also, i'm really interested in what the new Hunter pet abilities will be like.
Will they compare to the original game alpha abilities? Will they be some more half arsed, 1ability, all a variation of sinister strike?
Will hunter's get a ranged pet?
