I am interested in what most of the raiding guilds think of this trinket, and which classes it makes the most sense to give to. Every warrior and rogue in my guild have their eye on this with Slayer so far away, and even hunters have expressed an interest. My question is would this trinket be wasted on any of these classes and/or is it vastly superior for some over others. I'd appreciate any experiences or numbers support that would make sense to take back to my guild.

Choices are Dual-wield fury warriors, 2-hand fury, MS warriors, hunters, and Rogues (sword, mace and dagger).

Thanks in advance.

There was a thread about this and the Jom Gabbar awhile back, you may want to search for it.

Yikes :)

Back on topic though, I've had KoTS for awhile now, and I love it. Macroed with Blood Fury this thing is a beast. On a side note, has anyone done any tests on combining attack speed effects?

This thread got me thinking about why I stack BF/KoTS/SnD. I'm assuming its additive, but with the recent haste changes, is it now multiplicative? (.3SnD, .2BF, .2KoTS)

so wouldnt using them individually be a better consistant DPS enhancer? Or would it be less, because the cooldowns are not being used to their fullest? I'll probably do some tests shortly with straight white damage, but if anyone has done this, or knows someone who has I'd love to know!

Stack the cooldowns for the maximum benefit.

I jumped off the zeppelin tower a couple times and then stacked SnD+BF+KotS+Berserking to take my Pugio speed from 1.7 to 0.7 (243% attack speed ftw).

Haste modifiers have been multiplicative and that is the reason why it's advantageous to stack them (and why it still is). Additive 30% + 20% + 20% = 170% damage, multiplicative 1.3*1.2*1.2 = 187.2%.

The haste/slow changes were mostly cosmetic for the tooltips, those mechanics stayed, for the most part, the same. The threat changes were the ones where actual performance was impacted.

Can't remember how it's shown now, but since the haste effects haven't changed (only the description of them), multiple hastes work like this:
NewSpeed = OriginalSpeed / (1+haste%A) * (1+haste%B) ... (1+haste%n).
Again, the description of this has changed. I'm guessing it's now something like... NewSpeed = OriginalSpeed * (1-haste%) instead? Can't remember.

Edit: Too many people lurking here.

I'm assuming it's additive still.

So for a hunter
Quiver Speed - 15%
Rapid Fire - 40%
Quick Shots - 30%
KoS - 20%
= 105%

So your weapon speed would increase by 205%. This would turn Ashjre'thul from a 3.4 speed weapon into a 1.65 speed weapon.

I thought attack speed was capped at 1.0

It's never been additive.

You can actually see your modified weapon speed on the WoW UI. Open your character screen and mouse over melee damage (I think... I don't have it in front of me but it is around that area at least).

As long as the math they use to display it there is the same as the math actually used then it agrees with Lactose and isn't capped at 1.0 (with bloodlust, SnD and blade flurry I got down to 8.89 speed).

If it is, that was not reflected on my character screen. It showed 0.7. I didn't start hitting someone, time it, and count the swings, so I guess I have no definitive proof that I was below 1.0.
