They'll just turn around and tell you that there is a good chance that even if there was another mob standing next to him, it wouldn't have bounced anyway.

There's always free cheese in the mouse traps, but the mice there ain't happy.

I don't know about you, but when we were up to Firemaw there was no way in hell that I could solo heal an elite tank. 2 on each elite might be possible, but they won't be able to spot heal anyone, which leaves you with at most 1 spot healer.

Ragnaros has been killed by raids that were majorily green and blues (I was in one). I believe Conquest went from MC gear plus a handful of half BWL resets to the Twin Emps first week (after an extended WoW hiatus).

Gear is great. Gear is helpful. I often preached the line, "Maybe we just don't have enough gear for this encounter." But aside from some obvious exceptions (individuals with specific resist requirements for specific fights) it's not necessarily a limiting factor for as many encounters as many people like to think.

Is it harder? Yes. Outside of many people's reach without the gear? Sure. But it's not impossible.

and eleven healers simply isn't enough for MC bosses, irrespective the tanking.
Something us Lotharians have had to suffer (as others have) is the severe drought of druids. Consider a 40 man raid divided evenly by 8 classes - that means 5 druids. Sure, in theory they weren't required to spec resto to get innervate when the game was released, but these days it's "free" in terms of opportunity cost ANYWAY, which means if you had 5 druids (a fantasy on our server, I admit) you'd have amazing boosts in mana available over the course of a fight like Majordomo.

My task now, then, is to prove or disprove these theories. For this I need data: however, I don't know what data I need, nor the best methodologies to collect it. For that reason, I am coming to you guys. You are seasoned raiders, not a few among you excellent raid leaders, and many of you are raiders on the cutting edge, where evaluating and correcting failures is everything, the difference between world-first and months-behind.
SW_Stats. Despite saying, in RC, as RL, DO NOT MULTISHOT, I went through every hunter's spells cast until I found... dun dun dun, multishot. Surprisingly, one of the polyed targets went on a rampage, wiping the raid. SW_Stats + some tells = kill next attempt.

A priest frequently getting aggro, parsing his casts... surprise, he was mind blasting!

Know other classes down to the timers. If you say to your healers, "HEAL HARDER DAG GUMMIT," you will quickly find yourself a 40 rogue raid. On the other hand, if you suggest "So and so has amazing mana regen, why don't we make him the PW:S bot for this fight, everyone else use more mana efficent heals..." or, "Panic heals on the MT for the Unbalancing Strikes are going to all flood in at once, let's try all using mid-rank Healing Touches and Heal and HWs." You go from sounding like a tank who wants invincibility and frustrating your healers to being a knowledgeable, respectful leader with Cunning Insights.

Everybody is your brother until the rent comes due.
