The image of a bunch of casters hooked up to IVs, get major mana pots pumped into their system makes me grin.

Waiting for specific weaponsmithing trees to get 1 new recipe apiece.

Check the Tier 4 armour and weapons thread, it looks like all 3 weaponsmith trees have craftable 1 and 2 handers that are upgradeable.

There are. um... 5 axesmith specific recipes. If you say I'm getting a new one that makes 6. If they new one is something I can sell with any sort of regularity, that will make 2 profitable weapons from Axesmithing, the first being Dawn's Edges.

Besides, he just got the engineering ones. Nobody knows for if they're going to be final, or if they're going to add new recipes for other trades, or what.

Maybe you should chill out and actually read what people say to you, he said "new 1 and 2 hander recipes which are upgradeable", sounds like they'll be pretty nice items.
I'm more concerned about blacksmithing as a whole being made more useful. The only things I ever make as an axesmith are steel weapon chains and mithril spurs (mostly because I tell hunters they're idiots for wanting dawn's edge >_> )

Engineering being neglected since forever? Engineering has had the most pvp applications for a long time. There's also plenty of other handy useful items like the teleporters. At least it isn't a profession where having someone in the guild with it is just as good as having it yourself.
