Encountered something interesting in AV this weekend that I haven't seen mentioned any where else. The troggs in the Alliance mine no longer drop loot, but you can get them to do so. Simply pickpocket until you encounter one with an item, do not take the item, kill, and there's the item. This works for items that generally have no business being on the loot table such as shiney baubles and (I assume) heavy junkboxes.
Now that I think about it, it should be additionally tested by not removing the silver, but someone else will have to do that as I am too cheap to risk missing out on my 3s14c.
I have always thought that rogues should have abilities which 'enrich' or alter mob drops since EQ. The FFxi Thief class Treasure Hunter ability fit that well, as did, what, the Bounty Hunter ability of Dwarves in Lineage 2. Unfortunately the reverse effect of that pleasurable enhancement came at the expense of the classes' / races' general functionality. Why 10% more money means 10% less DPS / survivability to developers is beyond me.
Anyone else got any rogue quirks along these lines? I've seen a vanish by other players recently cause a mob to go 'red' for another, yet not actually wipe the claim. One hundred and fifty thousand rogues to my estimation are not aware distract may be used while out of stealth. I have cheap shotted a dozen rogues this weekend in AV who, while stunned, proceed to 'restealth' on my screen. They're still there, of course, stunned, and spamming bs / ss tags them again.
