Hi all!
I've got a question that I'm hoping some rogue - or person with an insight in rogue itemization - can help me answer. I've quite recently left my raiding guild with my main character - a mage - because I quite frankly didn't find the raiding process to be very interesting. We had killed 6 bosses in Naxx and had all the other 40-man instances on complete farm status when I quit.
I've now leveled a rogue to 60 and played PvP with him for a few weeks, reaching rank 8. On my server, making it further than rank 8 means you need to hold 150k-200k honor a week, something that I'm not too keen on doing because I still have a job, a life and other interests.
The guild I was in has offered to sell me 'spare epics' from BWL (and, in one case, [Thick Qirajihide Belt] from AQ40). So I have access to more or less all the BWL epics and the PvP blues up to rank 8. I'll be grinding to exalted with all three battlegrounds (Exalted AV, Honored AB, Honored WSG at the moment).
I've got a sword specced PvP-based thing going, so it's mainly high Stamina, high AP-gear that I'm looking for. I've found good items for each and every slot except one.
... What do you suggest I use as a headpiece?

Your former guild offered to sell you a Thick Qirajihide Belt?

With friends like that, who needs enemies? I'm no pro at rogue itemization, but assuming you are not going to go for Rank 13 and have access to all BWL epics I assume you also have access to Onyxia.. Had you given BF hat some thought?

Yeah, I thought it was quite mean of them as well, but hey - I've got a bunch of gold and they didn't feel like charging me that much for it, so I'm not complaining ... at least not too loudly.
As for an item-lookup, not a single piece of DPS leather head-gear drops in BWL, it's all AQ40 or Onyxia. I doubt that my former guild will want to sell me the leather headpiece from the Bug Trio (as they usually skip them anyway), and I'm in no mood to do the Onyxia Prequest on a third character. :-)

Thick Qirajihide belt is pretty weak, parry is poor (even though it helps with Riposte). You are better off with the AB belt for PvPing, since it is easier to get (but do lose 130 health).
The thread Dagger Rogue dps spreadsheet also has a sword spreadsheet with it, take a look at it, it compares different items. Shadowpanther.net is another good resource, it has most of the Rogue items out there in a nice spreadsheet view.
For head gear (rank 10 is really nice if you can get it), Bloodfang is nice.
If you can't get that, the level 50 Rogue quest hat reward is decent, or if you can get into ZG, there is a random boss helm drop that is decent (has agil/stam/hit) and there is a eyepatch (AP/crit) from the fish boss.
Edit: Another option for a Belt is buying Nightslayer belt, but that is a rare item to be up on the AH.

Also this hat, from the fishing boss in ZG, is pretty decent from what I can tell:

Stam, Crit, AP.. Could be much worse. Not sure if this is the hat that fmr was referring to or not, but it's an easy kill that requires no pre-req bosses like Hakkar does.
Edit: Same hat (eyepatch) that fmr mentioned!

Thanks, frmorrison, I'll take a look at that. And yeah, at the moment the ZG epic helm is the one I think I'll be aiming for, unless I get enough time off to grind up more rank or if the expansion's PvP revamp gives me the ability to quickly grind up to the epic headpiece.
As for Thick Qirajihide Belt vs. AB belt, I put alot of thought into this, actually.
AB: +7 Stamina, +1% crit, +34 AP
versus
TQB: +20 Stamina, +17 Agility, +10 Strength, +1% parry.
All in all, the TQB will give me 130 more health, 7 less Attack Power, some less crit, some more dodge, one more parry. I still think the TQB is superior because of the 130 extra health it offers.

the rank10 gear is pretty nice for the most part as well, esp with the set bonuses. not sure what exactly you are trying to do, if your in a premade PVP team getting rank10 should be ez with 20-40 hours a week on a fast-Q server. If your PUG'ing the BGs no amount of gear is really going to make it any more fun. and for ganking noobs running sand (lol) you don't need crazy gear.

Kill onyxia, get yourself a necklace, a hat and a MH sword.
Grind AB, get yourself shoulders and a cape.
Grind ZG, get yourself a BP, 2 rings, possibly bracers and an oh sword.
Go to BRD, get yourself a trinket.
Join a kazzak raid, get yourself some gloves.
Boom, you're pretty much set. All you need is to figure out boots, pants and a belt, most of which you can get in BWL or MC.
