Discipline for the win? +5% raid spell damage, +10% of spirit in damage (only like 30-40 tops for mages, but meh). Shield Wall ripoff on a 3 minute cooldown. Will definately be a rape pvp healer tree. 50% of PW:S reflected back at your opponant, wee! Will be funny for fights like Vael where you shield everyone right before you engage. Nothing like doing 20k dmg pretty much right off the bat.
Surge of light is interesting and I'm glad they finally introduced it. I remember the 30+ page petition we had for something like that back in beta. <3 Rest of Holy is pretty damn lackluster, but that's been true since forever. 8(
Shadow Mend however, will be sick. Sick I tell you. Shadow priests = unkillable. +15% chance for mind blast to crit? Jesus.

Also note that you can get the same +5% raid spell damage effect from Improved Shadow Weaving. But you can't get both that and the Disc talent on the same priest.
As with many other classes, if you want to min/max, you'd seemingly want one shadowmage, one heavy disc priest, and one holy priest filling your 3 priest slots in a 25-man raid.

So far Blizzard is spot fucking on with the 'every raid wants every spec' idea they're going for. Your Shadow Weaving bot can spot heal, Disc priests are invincible with technically two raid buffs, and Holy gets completely free bonus DPS.

Really kind of envious that I no longer play my priest, and that I did not opt to play as a priest /again/ for my current situation. :(
edit: I just realized that the Imp. Divine Spirit talent is broken. 1/2 grants +5% of spirit as dmg/healing, but 2/2 is "undefined." I wonder if it's safe to assume +10%.

Will probably be the optimal healer spec, unless TBC forces you to uprank on heals, but I highly doubt that's going to happen.
The spells are kinda neat though. Mass dispell will be intresting. Prayer of Mending = Chain Heal on acid. Not too excited about Shades of Darkness though. Shadow Word: Death will be nice however. What I want to know is though, if you use SW:D and have the PW:S reflect ability...will you do 50% additional damage? Oh the mechanics boggle the mind!

Really underwhelmed with these talents.
I'm the last of the wannabe best healer in game I think; the survivability talents in disc are nice, but where are my awesome unique heal talents? Wait, wait...I get a chance to cast smite for free that is incapable of critting.
Yay?
I still don't think they get it yet. But grats to shadow priests for getting heals, mana reduction on their mindflay and 15% chance to crit a mindblast.
Afk crying in a corner for a bit. Nudge me when the talents get good.

Sort of disappointed with the Holy tree . . . not much new there in the way of pure healing power. And Lightwell is still there =(. I guess with 61 talent points you might as well get it, though. This will probably be my build post-expansion, assuming I don't decide to just drop my priest for a paladin: http://www.wow-europe.com/en/info/un...00000000000000

Ignie Ferroque translates from latin to "with fire & with sword." It is a stock phrase used to describe the results of a destructive raid into an enemy's territory, whose sole purpose is to generate fear, terror, and destruction.

Holy priests get an AoE renew that likely offers the best hp/mana ratio of any heal in the game by a large margin once you take +healing contribution into account.

All 3 trees have nice stuff in them, kudos to Blizzard.
Shades of Darkness, more pets!
Surge of Light looks great for Priest grinding, and holy is still the best healing tree.
Shadowform has a heal and a nice raid debuff!
Disc is great for PvP and has some fun tricks in it for raiding too.
I wonder if Misery and Imp Shadow Weaving stack, I like 41/20 spec atm, it has a good balance of healing and damage in it.

As a raid healer, I have to say the holy talents are very disappointing. Aside from empowered healing (which, considering the empowered everything else, is kind of a given), there aren't anything else that helps me HEAL. I honestly don't want to be brought onto a raid for some gimmicky mass dispell (which is ridiculously mana inefficient) or a 5% buff for the mages. Not doing anything to lightwell, and adding prayer of renew makes me very very very angry (although at least you can target the new prayer even if it is crippled by its massively short range). Also, linked flash heal is very very gimmicky (even for PVP). Under what PVE circumstances would I have to heal both myself and a target? I see that the dpshappy priests got their toys, but us healers are left with little to nothing.
I am still hopeful, though, considering that its still alpha.

Question: Thoughts on the behavior of Prayer of Mending when there are no other nearby raid members? Five charge buff for a single target to heal for 5K? Or, wasted buff if there is no new target to be jumped to?

I don't know, dude. An additional +10%/5% healing to Greater Heal/Flash Heal, two completely new and unique healing abilities, a third completely new and unique obtainable-through-talents healing ability and increased survivability right within the Holy tree. Personally, if I still played my priest still, I'd be doing jumping jacks of joy and jubulation.
Healing was already an absolute ball in both PvE and PvP (to me), and the new spells and talents you guys are being given are going to make your options and potential strategies in a group environment just absolutely explode with awesomeness.
edit: The potential efficieny of Circle of Renewal is absolutely disgusting, BTW!
