Talked to my friend. He said it is Massive Magazine. Just came out. Pages 30-33. Not sure since I've not seen the magazine, but I wonder if anyone has or has not.

Can someone please come and help me and disprove this guy? He says Blizzard lied about the whole 25 man cap thing. And that it was to stir up people. And that this MASSIVE magazine (pages 30-33) that just came out said it was 40s and thus true. Blizzard did say on their website it was a 25 man cap correct? I find it hard to believe this wouldn't be all over the wow boards by now if Blizzard was really going back to 40 man raids. Please, please someone help me because this is infuriating me.

Honestly though, at this point, it hardly matters. If your friend says Blizzard lied about the whole 25-man raid cap then showing him a post by Blizzard saying they will cap raids at 25 won't change his opinion. My suggestion would be to let him wallow in his self-deception but meh. Your only other real options at this point are to wait for the xp to come out or maybe post on the WoW R&D forums with a link to the magazine and ask Blizzard to clarify - you might, just might, get a response.

Has your friend not uploaded a scan yet? If a newly released magazine really does say that then it's certainly interesting even if it turns out not to be true. Blizzard have put quite a bit of BC info out through external sources already so it's not impossible that the information is wrong, it just seems very unlikely.

Looks to be a quarterly magazine on MMOs and this apparently was the premiere issue. Couldn't really find a publication date in the magazine, or any indication of when the artices were written. They had a little 3 page feature on TBC, where they talk about some stuff and that there will be 40 man instances in the expac. There is no mention of any 25 man instances, or changes from 40 to 25 and back. I wrote a post on the forums of this magazine as well to check, but it seems like to me that the information is just plain outdated. If someone wants I can scan the 3 pages of articles and post it here, but I don't know what that would show. I just find it annoying because this keeping at 40s in this article is being used against our guild. Oh well. :) Go go 20 mans.

Why do we care what they say?

Basing decisions on secondhand info derived from some mysterious periodical no one has heard of isn't exactly a testament to your common sense.

Well yeah, which is why I'm pissed about this whole thing. I'm just dissapointed. I was hoping I would be able to see Vael before the expac, and as someone who has had 100% raid attendance, it irks me. Also good friends in guild who wanted to see some BWL too. But since we wanted to move off and do our own things in the expac that works for us. We just make the split sooner rather than later.
