I am currently evaluating a number of set and item choices for hunters for my guild.

In order to quantify properly the benefits of some set bonus’s (such as the strikers reduction of rapid fire cool down), I need to know a fights duration. Would anyone here be kind enough to offer me their views of fight duration boss by boss, for AQ and Naxx ? (or does anyone know of a resource containing a table of this kind). I am not looking for ‘record’ times, but typical benchmarks.

I should add that as a guild we are at Huhuran, and have also killed Razuvious, the rationale behind this process is to understand and quantify going forwards the true value of various set bonus’s and prioritise accordingly, and to eventually apply this logic to all classes where applicable.

Huhuran takes maybe 4 minutes.
Emps, you probably want to plan for 15 whie you're learning, but guild who start killing Naxx bosses will be doing Emps in 10-11 or less.
C'Thun P1: Once we finished before the third Dark Glare, usually during it, so about 4 minutes. C'Thun P2 with two vulns takes maybe 6 minutes, with three about 9 minutes.
Anub'Rekhan can be all over the place. Now that we don't get Evades, maybe 8 minutes, but if a few people are dumb and die, it can be 12-13 really easily.
Noth is 9 minutes until the third teleport.
Faerlina is 5 minutes at most, 4 is a lot more comfortable.
Maexxna is 5-6.
Patchwerk is 7.

Anub: ~8-10 minutes.
Faerlina: ~4-5 minutes max
Maexxna: ~5-6 minutes if I'd hazard a guess

Patchwerk: little over 7 minutes for first kills, usually below 7 minutes now
Grobbulus: around 7-9 minutes depending on ranged dps amount
Gluth:~6 minutes until the third Decimate and an Enrage I think
Thaddius: ~5 minutes phase 1, 5 minutes max for phase 2, usually 4.5 minutes nowadays with lag fixed for us.

Noth: ~10 minutes
Heigan (with trash): ~10 minutes, actual fight shouldn't take more than 3 dances, maybe 4 if you lose a lot of people.
Loatheb: ~5 minutes

Razuvious: 3-4 minutes of solid dps if all goes well
Gothik: he comes down after 5 minutes iirc, so around 6-7 minutes for the fight total
4 Horsemen: longest fight in the dungeon, well over 20 minutes for us so far.

Most of the fight where dps does really matter in Naxx are 5-7 mins because of enrage timers : patchwerk, thaddius, loatheb, gluth..

One of the first times we worked on Anub, we had a 29 minute attempt :lol:

Our first kill of Anub took around 25 minutes... Without any evades.
We were being really, really careful though. We wanted to get the bugger down and had already noticed the fight was sustainable practically endlessly, and our MT and the Hunter in his group had the kiting own perfectly, so we just wanted to minimize the risk taken by DPS.

Consequently, the next kill we did of him was about twice as fast.

Our worst kill was 56 minutes, IIRC.
