I was wondering who has experience with this?

1. What DK mobs are 5-mannable? How many pulls will this consist of (assuming only single pulls or pull that priest can shackle/mind control adds is doable)?
2. What is the ideal 5? (I currently plan on one of our MTs, 1 mage, myself, and 2 priests venturing into Naxx tonight)
3. Do any of the other wings have trash that are 5-mannable?

The 5-man group are all wearing a mixture of BWL/AQ40/MC gear. Each toon is at least 5/8 tier 2.

Thank you for the info.

Supposedly that's what you can do. I'm not even going to supposition what it would take, or the creative mechanics involved, but I'll talk w/ a buddy of mine, he was on test last night and headed over there to try it.

Well, I know a hunter who soloed a few Deathknights, just kited them around in the first room after Anub. However, Blizzard has lowered the droprate for randomepics substantially after the first few weeks, so you need to be very lucky to get an Epic. (0 Harbingers for our guild thus far)

Yea, we had 3 HoD in the first 3 weeks, IIRC (and 2 on the same clear of the Spider Wing!), and since, we've gotten 1 in a month and a half. :-/

In the early days there was a way to separate the slow oozes/slimes from the ghoul packs using "tricks" (kite them around the center room and loot 'em for fun and profit). . . which resulted in the slimes no longer dropping loot. There is also a way for mages/hunters to agro the deathknight packs, then use other "tricks" to get a risen deathknight to separate from the de-aggro'd pack.

However, I'm not sure of a way you could straight-up fight the packs with a 5 man team.

3 ghoul pack + 2 slimes:

1 hunter kites the slimes around the entrance area
2 priests shackle two ghouls
1 ranged class kites one ghoul
1 rogue with snare poison focuses on the non-shackled ghoul

Three priests can do the ghoul packs pretty easily, although it takes a very long time (~30 minutes with no +damage gear). Each priest shackles a ghoul, backs up to max range, casts smite then reshackle, repeat. Slimes are slow enough that the priest with aggro can just avoid them.

I respec'ed frost one weekend to try kiting ghouls/slimes. Our group consisted of one paladin, one hunter and myself. I did the rank 1 frostbolt pull and then CoC rank 1. The hunter used multi-shot to snag aggro, and then I ran behind the ghouls using CoC. The paladin kited the slimes around with consecrate - keeping BoW up on us so we didn't run out of mana.

It's a lot trickier than it sounds, and was pretty tough for us even though we had hours and hours of experience kiting ZG crocs. Out of maybe 3 hours, we managed several successful kills, with each kill taking maybe 15 minutes? A double resist is all you need for a wipe...
