that being said - here at upper deck we're in the market for a content manager for the wow TCG website (www.ude.com/wow, for those who haven't seen it). since the position requires extensive wow knowledge, wow related forums seem like the obvious place to look for candidates. since the position requires a smart person who i'll have to work closely with on a regular basis, these forums seemed like a far better bet than anywhere else ;)

That is an interesting idea, recuiting via intelligent game forums (I guess traditional methods didn't work? The posting is over a month old). I hope you get some responses, that card game looks like it has a lot of promise.

well, the job posting went up a while back, but we haven't done a terrible amount of active recruiting for the position because of how busy we all are with the imminent release of the game. i suggested that we reach out to the WoW community specifically, since the job is wow related and i'm sure there's any number of people out there who'd love an opportunity to break into the gaming industry. today i've been testing my recent warlock deck with all the new cards we're working on for set two, and had watercooler discussions about the difficulties of raid leadership and what new loot people have gotten recently. it's a nice place to work ;)

and my alt is a feral druid. it just felt like the best closure to an otherwise off topic post ;)
