I am a rogue and I know of a couple things I can solo, but what does everyone else solo? For instance an easy one like Plugger in BRD. But what does everyone else here solo for either money or just a fun thing to do.

Not a boss but whenever I have leftover raid buffs I kill the Flameweavers or whatever in LBRS, easy as hell gold. (Make like 150g+ an hour). Need great gear or buffs to do it though. The ones that drop Pattern: Robe of the Archmage and Recipe: Greater Fire Protection Potion
On my Warlock I took great pride in soloing every non-UD trash mob set in Dire Maul: West (Yeah, I did the tree-packs, you just need a lot of room).

Man, am I the only one reading "some shadow priests soloing pretty much everything from flamegor..."
Every ranged class can solo princess in mara, shadow priests don't have any significant advantages. I know hunters/rogues (not sure about warriors) can solo all of Mara.

Druids can solo mother smolderweb for wildheart boots...very slowly. Took 30 minutes a kill back in a day, took me 6 tries for boots and I would often die 20 minutes in =/. This was before the druid patch though so its prob a bit easier now ;0
Also that earth elemental in brd that drops the druid idol.

Soloing flamegor...?
Anyways, as a druid I can solo Mother Smolderweb fairly easily when I'm feral spec. Takes a while but is pretty decent money. Got a krol blade off one of her spawns when she died once too.
Incendius is still soloable but isn't the total pushover he was before.

Oh man, I wish I could solo Flamegor, he's still holding out on my Rejuvenating Gem :(
A good druid with AQish feral gear (and probably even worse) gear can solo a ton of stuff - I think my best accomplishment is Wyrmthalak, but the room was cleared by others and I'm not sure I could solo all those pulls, so it probably doesn't count, as it made it a ton easier :( Could probably do every boss in BRD save Emperor, although some of them might take a while to kill :p As far as LBRS, Halycon should be doable, and Smolderweb is extremely easy. Not sure about the others, never ran LBRS much :/ And I think you could probably assume that most UBRS bosses aren't soloable, although Pyroguard Emberseer might be possible if you could actually spawn him solo~

There happy I took out the retarded part =). I was just mainly giving examples. And the LBRS thing I have heard a lot about. Seems like that might be where the biggest cash cow could be for soloing instances as long as you have the gear.

Many of the bosses in BRD are soloable by rogues with post-BWL gear. Main problem is that many of them drop items which DE into small brillant shards. Maraudon is almost better since the small radiant shards are worth more, and the bosses are easier. I have done at least one of the bosses in DM: East solo, the BE warlock with her imp pet.
I'm curious about the flameweavers though, especially with the potential for the valuable GFP potion recipe. What do you get the gold from? Items or just cash drops.
Let's talk techniques...
Obviously being massively overgeared with huge DPS is important, but what other general tricks do people use? Using consumables kinda kill any profits, so I'm talking about gear here. I find having self heal gear (like lifestealing, 8/8 BF, Heroism card helps) along with higher stamina gear is prefered, since its basiclly a race between your life bar and thiers.

Depending on your server economy (I'm speaking strictly from mine), Robes of the Archmagi patterns go for 300g, and GFPP recipies sell for over 150. They have about a 5-10%? Drop and theres 3 per reset. Death means nothing if you get one of those items an hour.

My personal favorite spots to farm money don't involve bosses, and the only elites are the ones in tyr's hand.
Incendius, Roccor, Bael'gar, Pyromancer Loregrain, Dark Keeper, Hearthsinger Forresten, The Unforgiven, most of ZF, Mara, and ST were soloable, depending on gear.
Ghouls in Strath have improved stealth detect now, so hearthsinger and unforgiven may not be possible anymore.

Well, there are two reasons to do instances solo. A. The Iron Man Factor - How tough can I be? (Consumables are key) B.Money (Profit margin driven). Any boss which is soloable probably isn't dropping anything you need, with a few exceptions (Shanker, HoJ).
We should be specific about which purpose we are pursuing. For instance, when I was soloing Lethadis in DM: East for the felhide cap (FR), I was using a boat load of consumables, so that's more of iron man thing. The rogue that Fraps the Solo BRD emperor run was doing it for Iron Man purpose as well.
But if you can't kill Incedius without massive consumables, you aren't doing it for the money really, probably just for the FR bracers.

Dysphoria has a number of good Hunter soloing videos: http://warcraftmovies.com/viewauthor.php?id=3762
Although, most of them are more 'just to do it' rather than viable for farming, due to the amount of time to set up, not to mention the lengthy time requirement to kill.

Great topic.
I have to admit I was massively impressed by the vid of the hunter soloing DM North Tribute, although I would certainly not attempt to argue that he's entirely innocent of terrain exploiting. It's essentially the same trick as the teleporting farmers but without haxx.

I could solo up to and including Rattlegore in Scholo on my priest when she's shadow specced. The spectral researchers have a slight chance at dropping the Lifestealing enchant. I can get a couple of Dark Runes per run which is helpful for raiding. The hardest pull is actually the group of 4 at the bottom of the stairs - I get around that by clearing the entire room (I'm farming anyways!) so I can fear with impunity.
LBRS was good too. I can actually do groups of 4 as long as I have room to fear them. There is also the ledge where Vaelastrasz is - if you jump up there during combat, mobs won't follow you. I used this as as a way to break up the 5-6 packs - but I don't do that anymore as I'm not sure if that's an exploit or not. I only discovered it because I was going to run up there and jump off the ledge to buy some kiting time, then found out they wouldn't chase me to Vaelastrasz. :P
I was able to solo to the Pyroguard Emberseer by using a lot of kiting too. (using the bridge at the start, and then jumping off that ledge that most people use to shortcut a pack or two in LBRS -- I cleared that room first of course) I would burst down the warlocks first. Note: Don't try to MC them. If the Veterans charge a MC'ed mob, you will disconnect. It's too bad you need 3 to activate the altar for Emberseer though. :(
BRD I can farm a lot in there. In short, fear, dots & run speed on your boots is your best friend. In DM, when the AD RRQ quests first were available, I farmed the hell out of DM West for Core of Elements. It was trivial to go to the library via DM North, into DM West and clear that entire inner ring. DM East I couldn't get too far, because the big warpwood crushers have too big of a aggro radius. They hit way too hard for me to be able to DPS through 15k life or so.
At any rate, this is probably one of my favorite pasttimes. It's much like the ironman thing - testing yourself to see just how far you can push.

As a Warlock:
DM East: The nice Lady with the Imp, that is very easy.
Maraudon : The Princess.
And with buffs and pots some Bosses in BRD.

A guildmate used to farm Dire Maul (he's a Warlock) for Librams all the time. I think he had 20,000G before he "quit".
I only farmed LBRS to get some Doomshots, and some other BOP's from the Shadow Hunter/Voone. I'm not big on solo farming as I don't really have much to prove (to myself).
I know the warcraft movies site has a ton of "solo" type movies. Usually involving a lot of gimmicks/terrain "exploiting"/kiting. Check there for some entertaining ones. Hunter soloing LBRS was pretty neat the first time I watched it.

That's fun. Do you jump down and solo Hydrospawn, too? Or do you go around the upper balcony?

Talking as a rogue...
Don't try to solo serious bosses as a dagger rogue without a good sinister strike weapon.
Solo+boss+dagger = bad.
Unless they're stunnable of course.
And if they're affected by crippling poison, it's only a matter of time.

The only boss I ever solo'd was Lord Roccor in BRD for my Idol. He never did drop it, but I got a few Smoking Heart of the Mountain patterns that sold well.
I think after I get more of my PVP gear and spec feral again, I'll give Maraudon and BRD a try. I could always use the Nature Resistance from Maraudon anyway.

I guess I could just try this but aren't those in packs of 3 or 4 and too close to each other that trying to sap one will aggro the others unless you have imp sap?
I also know of a warlock that could solo DM east, idk about the guy that sacrifices people though. I did like the video of the 2 man DM north video though, rather cool how they did it without any sort of exploits.

I love doing the previously-labeled "Iron Man" solo runs on my rogue. I really find myself getting back into the true enjoyment, role-playing aspects of the game when I'm stealthing around deep in instances I "shouldn't be in" >:]
Lets see if I can recall some things I've done. After viewing the rogue solo the emperor in brd I decided to give it a shot for fun. I made it all the way to Magmus and got my rump handed to me before I could get off a 5pt eviscerate. I attempted Lethtendris a few times to get the felhide cap. Solo'd a few burning essences which took forever. Stealthed the coal miner boots with one other rogue (so not a true solo but fun nonetheless).
I just read the post on farming lbrs for gold, I'ma definitely give that a shot tonight.
