Looked around for a few pages and couldn't really find any BC crafted items threads proper, so I thought I'd post this up 'cause I just got this info. Check out these crafted items that make your precious Naxx epics look like garbage.

Weaponsmithing (365):

Felsteel Reaper
Binds when Equipped
Two-Hand Axe
287 - 431 Damage Speed 3.40
(105.6 damage per second)
Requires Level 70
Equip: Improves critical strike rating by 30.
Equip: +108 Attack Power

Requires: Felsteel Bar x10, Primal Might x5, Primal Draenite x1

Hand of Eternity
Binds when equipped
Main Hand Mace
32 - 126 Damage Speed 1.90
(41.5 damage per second)
+20 Intellect
Requires Level 70
Equip: Restores 7 mana per 5 sec.
Equip: Increases healing done by spell and effects by up to 300.

Requires: Hardened Adamantite Bar x4, Eternium Bar x10, Primal Might x5, Primal Draenite x1

Eternium Runed Blade
Binds when equipped
One-Hand Dagger
88 - 165 Damage Speed 1.70
(74.4 damage per second)
Requires Level 70
Equip: Improves spell critical strike rating by 15.
Equip: Increases damage and healing done by magical spells and effects by up to 23.

Requires: Felsteel Bar x4, Eternium Bar x10, Primal Might x5, Primal Draenite x1

Primal Draenite is some sort of BoP material.

Also, the only Meta Gem known so far (so I have been told anyways).

Brutal Earthstorm Diamond
+3 Melee Damage & Chance to Stun Target
Requires at least 5 Red gems and at least 5 Yellow gems and at least 5 Blue gems
"Only fits in a meta gem slot."

Um, this caster dagger doesn't even outclass Azuresong. Is this meant for shamans or something?

I hope they don't nerf the DPS on that. When I had the old version of Fang of the Mystics, I enjoyed using it for PvP healing. However, the newer version sucks quite a bit for that style of play, so I switched to a deathbringer. :(

It's got 8 more DPS and almost 20 more top end than Death's Sting, and it has +damage and healing and it is one handed. I think the target audience is pretty obvious (DW Enh Shamans and Rogues who have too much money and can't get into raids).

Rogues have better quest rewards. I think if this is the Blizzard itemization team's idea of DW enh/ele shaman itemization, I feel sorry for said shamans. Considering how expensive spelldamage/spellcrit is, and how poorly shocks scale, and considering the relatively low dps % that shocks are responsible for, items like this dagger would be just about the least itempoint-efficient way to boost shaman dps.

I am surprised that Blizzard would create a DW Shaman dagger, just change the spell damage to AP and the word spell to crit and then it is would useful to them.

Or change it to weapon type mace, so that Pallys can use it too.

Millions of words are written annually purporting to tell how to beat the races, whereas the best possible advice on the subject is found in the three monosyllables: 'Do not try.'

It doesn't matter if they are better compared to current epics really. Real question is their relation to new dungeon rares/epics and cost vs. risk ratio.

If it turns out that collecting Felsteel Bar x10, Primal Might x5, Primal Draenite x1 or whatever takes significantly more time and effort then going to Kharazan and killing boss X for "Axe of Overpowerness" then nothing changed.

Currently the craftable items available fill 3 niches in the market:

1) People who love to solo and rarely group up, aren't in a serious guild that often runs instances or raids together, and therefore looks to get good gear outside of the "normal" channels. These people might spend more time getting those mats, but that is, in economic theory anyway, "making up" for the fact that anyone can attempt to gather the mats and get blues made that aren't awful, but are going to be replaced right away once they start raiding or get a good drop from an end-level instance.

2) Resist gear of both the blue and epic varieties, although the epic Frost Resist gear from Naxx is basically raid gear anyway; the market for Frozen Runes is not exactly elastic on the vast majority of servers.

3) Items like Titanic Leggings, Lionheart Helm, or Hide of the Wild, that are excellent options for raiders even for a significant part of progression content. There are still only 3-4 upgrades from Hide of the Wild in the game, and so most healers end up having one as they start the raid game, just because they can put in the farming time and get the mats and have it, without having to mess around with instance drop rates, DKP, etc. etc.

It will be most interesting to see if they expand the third "type" of craftable items to provide viable alternatives to raid gear for many or all slots, as opposed to the current occasional difficult-to-match item. If so, how rare will those recipes be? Will they be obtainable as random world drops, as farmable "world drops" from specific mobs? Only from raid instances or outdoor world bosses? Will most of them be recipes obtained by either short or long faction grinds? This obviously influences the availability of crafters for those items, which in turn influences the market and so forth.

Also, is it just me or does seeing words like "felsteel", "eternium", and "adamantite" cause my inner nerd to drool with anticipation?

'War' is too small a word for what I'm fighting. Like a candle in front of the whole burning Sun. Now, I am not going to die today. I have other projects, and other options.

You can come with me. I can protect you.

I don't think so. The trend I'm seeing with the change to rating and the change in downranked heals is that it keeps us using the same abilities for the same output despite our gear being 20 ILvLs higher.

I dunno, I find that to be fairly acceptable for a level 70 item that's craftable. It's got no stam, less mp5 then the KT mace, requires crafting mats, and level 70. And it's only 62 +healing more then the KT mace, which comes from a t3 level 60 instance.

We also don't know what kind of healing mace of pure ownage is going to come from Karazhan or BT or any of the other raid instance. Note that also, thus far, I don't see any healing mace/sword from the arena either, but we've only seen a small taste. So this is a nice fitter piece of equipment for paladins who need a healer weapon.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't they just make it so downranking heals got limited bonus under level 40 only?

The only socketed items I've seen have 3 sockets.

This one requires an item with 15? Makes my fake meter go off but hey, who knows what the future holds. I look at the list of gems in Yabba's post and this implies I could get +130 healing from gems alone, not to mention 100 AP, 40 stamina and/or some other unbelievable high stats.

I think that the "requires" part is counting all sockets in all items you have equipped, not that one item.

It looks like it's a craftable gem that goes in a special slot. This list-

+14 Spell Crit Rating and 1% Spell Reflect
2% on spellcast - next spell instant cast.
+24 Attack Power and Minor Run Speed Increase
+12 Critical Strike Rating & 5% Snare and Root Resist
+18 Stamina & 5% Stun Resist

+12 Intellect & Chance to restore mana on spellcast (100 mana)

Looks to be the same. Those gems are way beyond anything else on the list, so it would make sense that there'd be some sort of super-gem.

I assume theres some sort of mechanic for fusing gems. Ala d2 runes.

From what I've read about Meta Gems from previews, you need to have a number of certain colours of gems to gain the bonus from the Meta Gem (the only socket for which can be found on the Head, if you've noticed from the Arena gear screenshots).

+300 healing isn't that rediculous. Take a look at it's DPS, 41.5 that's a 32.9 DPS decrease from the dagger. Assuming the same iLevel that's a LOT more points to be spending on healing. Reminds me of the 0 DPS staff someone created on Alakhazam something like +600 damage/healing. You can do a lot when you nuke the DPS of the weapon itself.

I would like to point out ... 365 Weaponsmithing. Level 70 is only 350 max skill, so this is either made by an NPC or there's a +15 Smithing out there. This isn't something you'll be getting early in the game I don't think.

Where do you get that? There are currently 4 levels today:
Apprentice (1-75)
Journeyman (50-150)
Expert (125-225)
Artisan (225-300)

They are making Master trainable. No reason to assume you won't get another 75 skill levels out of it.

yeah, that's how I understand it as well. There's a special slot on your helmet that interacts with all the gems you have on every single piece of equiped gear. All the items at the top of the list must be head-only with gem prerequisites -- I can't see you being able to stack more than one of any of those effects.

Yeah but can you buy Axe of overpowerness from IGE?

In Lineage2, farmers actually created highend items (nothing binds there), put them on auction for ridiculous amounts of cash and sold you the cash to buy the weapon with for $. Can happen here too.
