I guess I have a new mission. How many priests can be skipped and Hakkar still killable. It could take a while to find a team both capable and willing though, I'll let you know how we do :)

Killing the panther boss will make him tankable at least. Either snake or spider give him an aoe poison bolt I think - that'll definately make things a lot easier. Bat is the aoe silence I assume, is there a range on that?

Mar'li and Arlokk have to be killed. One does an agro wipe gouge. The other does an agro wipe stun, although its possible that might agro wipe everyone and maybe you could recover. You can probably heal your way through Venoxis' poison cloud. And if you have Wrath/DN tanks, presumably you would be fine with Thekal's enrage. Not sure about the 1200-2000 aoe dmg and 8 second silence from Jek'lik. That might not be possibe to survive.

At least thottbot doesn't have Sanctuary effect attached to the stun (Mar'li), so it's not supposed to be an agro wipe, unless thottbot is wrong.

Well then that's hardly worth it. Panther and Bat are probably the top 2 bosses I'd like to skip when doing a ZG run, bat because it requires a semi side track and panther because she's just annoying and if you're not paying attention or have alot of alts can result in a wipe. The rest are pretty danged easy.

If Bat is AOE silence, and Panther is an aggro wipe gouge, you'll still contest with an AOE stun wipe, poison bolt and whatever the heck else it was.

Edit: Also you need to kill Mar'li? Further annoyance; they've made it so you have to go off of the beaten path to make him killable.

The runes are extinguishable. However, the associated boss will re-ignite them if left unattended.

I had the opportunity to test this, when my guild was using a (now revised) Sulfuron Harbinger strategy that pulled the adds off and tanked the boss at his spawn location. It was a lousy strat and tended to involve wiping lots. As one of the MT's healers, I was up on the platform - the usual happened, add-tanks died, adds got loose. This time, they didn't immediately turn around and eat the MT healers - our usual point-of-guaranteed-wipe as Sulfuron flattens the unhealed tank and then the rest of the raid - but went after the main raid camp instead. Hearing a wipe called, I figured I'd put the rune out before I died, to see what happened.

It reignited, and I'm reasonably sure it was as the mobs were resetting. I could be mistaken, I was sighing and asking warlocks for summons back for the "MT Team... again".

This is a fairly recent observation - within the last two months. It's only been about a month since we junked that strat in favour of something that actually works.

Far sight can only be used outdoors.
You can (or could) chain-cast Far Sight as long as you were standing outside into in-door locations, just cast it, then from where your view ends up, cast it farther ahead, etc.. The area before Skeram counts as outdoors.
Ah yes, forgot that part of AQ40 was outdoors.

I also can't really imagine how you'd get by Ebonroc and Flamegor to do Chrom, even if you were going to LOS him in the gateway to his pen.
You can stealth past everything past broodlord. If you kill firemaw, you can have a rogue stealth to ebonroc, stab him, then vanish (or die with a soulstone), and he'll come flying down to the rest of the raid, where you kill him in the same spot as firemaw. Repeat for flamegor and chromaggus.

Although if you pull chromaggus without killing anything else, you get 3 drakes and a dog all at once. Makes for great screenshots, and fun conversations on vent. Interesting to note, bosses will chain pull other bosses, but NOT trash mobs.
