Having seen the recent success of the 'name a mod you cant live without' thread, as a Raid Leader I thought I would start the ball rolling on something a bit more specific.
So, Please, if you are a Raid Leader for your respective guild, please have a scan through the list and pick a favourite to add to the list if you don’t see it here already, with a link preferably.
If this takes off I will edit and compile the results into the top of the thread for reference, I am interested to see what little gems may come out of the woodwork.
My pick is XRS a ctra Raid Status replacement. (very useful if your trying to get rid of CT_RA in favour of oRA or similar..)
I chose this mod because it has dramatically reduced the amount of manual labour I have to do to make sure everyone is buffed, nobody has PVP, etc etc. and at the hover or click of a button check/inform the relevant people.
Additionally it uses very little memory by levering the Ace2 Libraries, and I can update it automatically from the wowace SVN!
Step up to the plate... lets hear em! and lets try and avoid more general stuff, very specifically mods that benefit Raid Leaders in a Super Fun Happy way.
on a side note, /wave to the regulars, thought it was about time to stop reading and give something back :)
Some of the links below are to www.wowace.com, the guys at wowace recently moved their server and DNS may still not have updated for some of you.
[ The List]
1. XRS (cu link XRS)
2. PerfectTargets
3. Raid Restore / Raid Template
4. HealingGroupsSucks
5. EK Waitlist and EK Attend
6. EQDKP CT_Raidtracker
7. SW Stats / Damagemeters
8.
9.
10.

The only mod I don't think I could live without while leading raids is the raid status part of ctraid that I think you already referred to. It has most of what you need to know short of pulling out every class tab and looking at individual bars. I use that and continuously press O to find out who's name is in red and what group they're in.
I'm not too big on mods though, so I'm sure there's all kinds of cool stuff (I heard about the log someone off their account feature of RDX which made me laugh).

Perfect Targets, also an Ace2 mod. It allows me to see who is targetting what, when, where. Made learning Fankriss much easier; to be able to see that 5 DPS classes were still targetting Fankriss when worms were up.

I've found Raid Restore to be a major time saver. You can set up groups by both class and a specific player name. You can also store several different templates which are sorted by zone.
Also, you're link to XRS seems broken.

What mod do you use for that? I always end up asking someone else. Is it part of ctraid?

As mentioned RaidTemplate/RaidRestore the single most significant addition, I think.
RaidRestore is more powerful and has more UI features. My only issue is that is sometimes errors when you try to restore. When this happens, it happens consistently (usually for the rest of the raid night, maybe it has something to do with the which people are in the raid?). I can't figure it out, though. Does anyone have this problem?

Healing Groups Sucks - thanks to the boys from Flying Hellfish
A must-have mod for the guy setting up your healing.
I'd also go with Nurfed Combat Log or perhaps SimpleCombatLog. Why? So that on a fight where someone keeps 'mysteriously' dying for no reason you can set up a combat log to watch *just* that person, and then when he dies you've got all the heals and dmg done to just him in one handy little window. Easy way to find out if your DPS warrior popped deathwish before dying and then starts yelling at healers for slacking.
Edit - also, the amount of information that one can configure and display using RDX6 is absolutely staggering for a raid leader. People in my guild have been very surprised to get called out for slacking lately.

For attendance, I wouldn't go without EK Waitlist and EK Attend. I've brought it up in previous threads, but this is a good place to organize everything.

XRS is the big one for me, as was previously mentioned. The ability to check and see who is buffed, who is flagged, what mana percentages are, etc. - invaluable. I used to use CTRaid's "RaidStatus" floater, but XRS is far superior.
If you're unwilling (or unable) to move away from CTRaid, you can still use XRS - and I highly recommend that you try it out.

I love PerfectTargets too from a raid leadership perspective. Nothing like saying "Great guys, you've perfectly split DPS. Except this isn't a corehound pack dammit".

Yes. It pops up a script error occasionally - and simply refuses to restore a given raid. I had this trouble on our last raid - it was happy to restore my Naxx: Trash raid, but not Naxx: Noth. After shuffling a few people around manually and having the last few raid spots filled, it worked.
Not sure why.
Other than this odd bug, the mod is great.

I'll look into the RR bug - it might be due to paladins instead of shamans if you're alliance - we built the thing for horde, and can't say we were accomodating paladins at the time. I've never had it bug out so that is my best guess - probably has to do with the "filling in healer" position. For instance, if it asks for a priest, and none are around - it will put a shaman or druid into that slot since they're the same subtype.
Appreciate the feedback.
Couple things:
The XRS link above doesn't work - I can find it on my own, but obviously thats not the point of this comment.
Perfect targets... which other raid leaders use this one? It seems, interesting - RTS fans know the power of proper assisting... and this could be quite helpful at times.

I'm alliance and I have not encountered any errors using RR so far (only been using about 2-3 weeks). The spots are filled in correctly with paladins for shamans. A way to toggle the display to an allaince version would be nice though.

SVN is short for Subversion, which is a revision control system.
More information is available on the project site and in the online book.
Putting it short: it allows a bunch of people to work on the same documents (source code, papers, ...) and allowing to restore old versions of a document.

Ok. I mean, I know about version control, I'm just not seeing how this should affect my aquisition of WoW addons.

SVN in this case is the wowace SVN server which you can setup your inferace directory with so that you can auto update your mods to the latest versions with simple SVN tools.
This is a fairly technical procedure so if you dont qualify on the geek meter you might be best to stick with .zips fron curse or similar sites.
If you are intrested and want to read more there is good information on the ace site here
And sorry if the wowace links are not working for some people, as added above they recently updated their DNS and moved to a new server, so this may be effecting some users, (especially those unfortunate enough to be on AOL :) )

The WoWAce team uses SVN in order to manage the development of all their addons. If you want the most up to date release of any Ace addon you go to the SVN.
