Does anyone have this problem?
Yes. It pops up a script error occasionally - and simply refuses to restore a given raid. I had this trouble on our last raid - it was happy to restore my Naxx: Trash raid, but not Naxx: Noth. After shuffling a few people around manually and having the last few raid spots filled, it worked.
Not sure why.

Other than this odd bug, the mod is great.

I'll look into the RR bug - it might be due to paladins instead of shamans if you're alliance - we built the thing for horde, and can't say we were accomodating paladins at the time. I've never had it bug out so that is my best guess - probably has to do with the "filling in healer" position. For instance, if it asks for a priest, and none are around - it will put a shaman or druid into that slot since they're the same subtype.

Appreciate the feedback.

Couple things:

The XRS link above doesn't work - I can find it on my own, but obviously thats not the point of this comment.

Perfect targets... which other raid leaders use this one? It seems, interesting - RTS fans know the power of proper assisting... and this could be quite helpful at times.

I'm alliance and I have not encountered any errors using RR so far (only been using about 2-3 weeks). The spots are filled in correctly with paladins for shamans. A way to toggle the display to an allaince version would be nice though.

SVN is short for Subversion, which is a revision control system.
More information is available on the project site and in the online book.

Putting it short: it allows a bunch of people to work on the same documents (source code, papers, ...) and allowing to restore old versions of a document.

Ok. I mean, I know about version control, I'm just not seeing how this should affect my aquisition of WoW addons.

SVN in this case is the wowace SVN server which you can setup your inferace directory with so that you can auto update your mods to the latest versions with simple SVN tools.

This is a fairly technical procedure so if you dont qualify on the geek meter you might be best to stick with .zips fron curse or similar sites.

If you are intrested and want to read more there is good information on the ace site here

And sorry if the wowace links are not working for some people, as added above they recently updated their DNS and moved to a new server, so this may be effecting some users, (especially those unfortunate enough to be on AOL :) )

The WoWAce team uses SVN in order to manage the development of all their addons. If you want the most up to date release of any Ace addon you go to the SVN.

Quick fix for RR, change line 315 in RaidRestore.lua

from: if (pTarget[nGroup][nSlot][RR_CLASS] ~= "") then
to: if (pTarget[nGroup][nSlot][RR_CLASS] ~= "" and MissingClasses[pTarget[nGroup][nSlot][RR_CLASS]]) then

Bananabar!

http://www.curse-gaming.com/en/wow/a...s-ct_raid.html

Gives you 8 icons, one for each raid-icon... ctrl+click to set a icon on someone... click to take the target (if someone else allready has it... works via /assist)... Also shows HOW many are targetting each icon... Mouseover windows shows exactly WHO targets what.

Helped me as a raidleader and our pullers immensly.

Yup, I would also put Bananbar up there, its so nice for trash especially to see who is constantly going for the wrong target. SWS is great to check "why didn't the tank get enough healign" situations, I wouldn't be able to live without it, analyzing failures is important. I have all the addons you listed and I have to say, what have increased leading most has to be XRS, since you can easily on the fly check if everyone got the buff, everyone is here and everyone got mana etc.

Also, I had a big problem after switching from CTRA to praid/ora with the CD's in the raid(ankh, ss and rebirth), so I was stuck with CTRA/praid combo and show only the druids with CTRA scaled down, to see the CD's. However, this addons is great if you got problems with this aswell; Fubar_oRA2CooldownFu

I've set it up like this; Image (Left to the KTMthreatmeeter)

I gave this a plug in the "that one special mod" thread, I'll toss it in here too. Redefined RaidSwap, allows anyone with the mod installed and (A) in raid panel to move people around. Good for raid groups where there are multiple leaders. The leader and the person trying to move people both need the mod installed.

The guild has died recently (a couple of weeks ago) but the webspace seems to be ok for now. I might rehost it (with permission of course) if the guild site does get taken down.

I was going to mention Bananabar too. Another one in similar vein is Paintball http://www.curse-gaming.com/en/wow/a...paintball.html .
