Quick fix for RR, change line 315 in RaidRestore.lua
from: if (pTarget[nGroup][nSlot][RR_CLASS] ~= "") then
to: if (pTarget[nGroup][nSlot][RR_CLASS] ~= "" and MissingClasses[pTarget[nGroup][nSlot][RR_CLASS]]) then
Gives you 8 icons, one for each raid-icon... ctrl+click to set a icon on someone... click to take the target (if someone else allready has it... works via /assist)... Also shows HOW many are targetting each icon... Mouseover windows shows exactly WHO targets what.
Helped me as a raidleader and our pullers immensly.
Yup, I would also put Bananbar up there, its so nice for trash especially to see who is constantly going for the wrong target. SWS is great to check "why didn't the tank get enough healign" situations, I wouldn't be able to live without it, analyzing failures is important. I have all the addons you listed and I have to say, what have increased leading most has to be XRS, since you can easily on the fly check if everyone got the buff, everyone is here and everyone got mana etc.
Also, I had a big problem after switching from CTRA to praid/ora with the CD's in the raid(ankh, ss and rebirth), so I was stuck with CTRA/praid combo and show only the druids with CTRA scaled down, to see the CD's. However, this addons is great if you got problems with this aswell; Fubar_oRA2CooldownFu
I've set it up like this; Image (Left to the KTMthreatmeeter)
I gave this a plug in the "that one special mod" thread, I'll toss it in here too. Redefined RaidSwap, allows anyone with the mod installed and (A) in raid panel to move people around. Good for raid groups where there are multiple leaders. The leader and the person trying to move people both need the mod installed.
The guild has died recently (a couple of weeks ago) but the webspace seems to be ok for now. I might rehost it (with permission of course) if the guild site does get taken down.
Alreadys stated, but Raid Restore has been a HUGE time saver. some advantages:
1. Nef phase 1 to phase 2, I can change groups with the click of a button.
2. Group setup prior to a raid - no more moving classes as you invite
3. Can tweak each encounter and have the perfect setup for trash and each boss then just change it on the fly
4. Can also set it up by name instead of class so people who perform a certain role in a group will always be in that group - think of C'Thun - each person knows where they stand each time as their group is always the same.
So many uses. Caveat - if doing a phase 1 to phase 2 change - or any in combat change that moves a lot of people at once - do it at an opportune time - such as at the very beginning of phase 2 of Nefarian - because it will lag some people - specifically anyone using CTRA.
Best part is, if you are out of game during the day, but are next to a computer, you can set your groups up from the SavedVariables file and load it when you get on WoW. I even use it for stuff like ZG/AQ and BGs.

Is there a version of this that's not tied to CTRA?

After surprising the raid with Loatheb last night, a lot of people were without shadow prots, but there were still enough in the raid to go around. Somehow 5-6 people managed to completely miss this, and die after the 4th doom, resulting in a wipe (4 of them were healers).
So I decided that today I was gonna write an AddOn that would allow me to check when people have a certain buff, and when they gain it... In other words an AddOn that will allow me to spot the Shadow Prot slackers during the fight :)
However, as a new day dawns and I face the prospect of actually coding it, I am overcome with laziness.
Does anyone know of a lightweight AddOn that does what I described? :)
Well, XRA does that... You can set it up to "watch" any buff you want. You'll get the number of people buffed all the time, and can get a list of the people lacking.
Is there a mod / easy way to set MT's with oRA2 btw? (short of typing)
Going from CTRA to oRA2 with squishy and things probably was a nice thing for my memory usage, but damn it's annoying how little documentation there is.
You have the GUI in Fubar, but besides that I dont belive there is a much easier way todo it. I've got used to it now, goes abit slower than the "TM" function in CTRA, but meh.

I lead raids with oRA2 MT windows, the one thing I miss is the methods for getting someone to assist you for a target, now however I just assign symbols to each tank at the start and mark each trash pull accordingly which in turn actually speeds things up.
As far as editing the MT windows goes, I prefer the / cmds to the FuBar interface because I can type the stuff out hella fast compared to right clicking a lot.
Example:
/ora mt set 1 Borelock
/ora mt set 2 Flex
/ora mt remove 1
I do everything by the keyboard, I thrive in a good shell, but sometimes things can get a bit cludgy when you have maintanks with names like 'elI7ë' or 'möz' and similar :)
When talking Bossmods...
Quantuvis for Raid Leading and standart buffs XRS is great. I actually use that and RABuffs while RABuffs is the tool I check every little stupid buff with. Be it equipping of Ony Cloaks at Nef, or can also check if I am doing Azuregos and which living people have the mark on, so I make sure they aren't in any relevant groups. You can check for literally every buff in the book needed in raiding.
Back on the Addons... in regards to Boss Mods.
BigWigs rocks, but does not help if only 1 person in the raid has it. And when your guild is already required these Addons and that Voice Comm and forums and roster, yadda you do not want to force boss mods on them I think.
I personally use La Vendetta Boss Mods. It's just so much better on FPS than Enemy Cast Bar, shows the bars though. And it's a lot more complex in things it can announce to raid on Bosses. It can be a bit spammy though (if your MT decides to spam every little option out there your screen can drown in it). Well if you don't want the spam you can always install BigWigs to block it... but err yeah ;) http://www.curse-gaming.com/en/wow/a...nd-aq20zg.html

To even speed things up more I would suggest that you promote all your warriors and they pick a target and mark it theirself. It's abit messy in the begining, but when they get a hang off it you will have less work especially on farm runs/trash and in general it goes faster :)
