Aswell as the standard buffs/pots etc for any raid ive been noticing more and more 'interesting' ones have been coming up lately. Largely ive been pilfering these ideas and whining at my guild to try them out as i think that the further the game develops the more Dps is going ot benefit from any fine tuning possible. Aswell as being a boost to your raid Dps seeing a Tiny chicken attacking C'thun makes me smile no matter the ammount of wipes we have.
Currently my favourite raid boosts/buffs that are slightly differnt are Gnomish battle chicken 5% (stacking) attack speed increase. Arcanite Dragonling fire dmg buff. NIghtfall (finally were making one yay!). Hunters pet Wolf furious Howl buff. Anihilator/Bashguurder (spelling?).
All of these things whilst possibly being mildy gimmicky and situational to me seem lovely additions to raiding that a lot of people dont use and i was just wondering if anyone else had any interesting/situational buffs that they use which they wouldnt mind sharing.

On some nights we sport 3-4 Nightfalls, and when we get several procs in a row on a weakened C'thun, he dies. Fast.

People in my guild tend to forget that there's other food than +stam so I tend to get a few confused whispers, when I hand out Grilled Squid or Desert Dumplings to the rogues.

What about the weapons that have attack speed slowing debuffs? Weaker than Thunderclap so they are pushed off? Poor man's Thunderfuries? What about Silent Fang and its silencing debuff?
There was alot of good debuff talk in my thread : http://forums.elitistjerks.com/viewtopic.php?id=8200
As far as buffs, the DMN beer and typical WellFed debuffs are usually the fartheset I go. I use the AD juice alot for +10 spirit alot.

Did you mean 'obscure' in the title?
One of my favorite buff items that usually gets a 'WTF is that' - Mark of the Dragonlord.

Admiral's Hat - Nerfed (It used to cast a buff on your target, then the hat could be replaced. I remember hat buddies from Onyxia/MC).
Cloak of Fire - Nerfed (Used to gain full +dmg each tick. I never did try the activate + Ice Block while on the flag for AB).
Large Rope Net - Nerfed (Farming nets at the infinite spawn in Westfall for Ragnaros)
Glowing Wax Candle, other low level itmes - Nerfed (Now soulbound. I knew someone with a bunch of noob white gear enchanted just to farm that stuff.)
As for stuff still in the game, there's Magic Dust off of Dust Devils in Westfall, the off-hand from the level 40ish mage quest that restores 1K mana or so, and the off-hand from an Ulduman quest line that causes damage and increases run speed.

It worked through Ice Block. It was pretty handy for defending a flag, not to mention that with trinkets you could tick on people for 800+.

Nothing quite like planting an Infernal on the flag in AB to defend it. Shame that they fixed the AOE Immolate damage working through Banish. I always got a kick out of that.
I guess a Gift of Arthas on the MT isn't so strange to people, but its a nice little addition.

Cluster launcher + rockets is always nice for Loatheb. I can't remember which type of rocket you need specifically, however.
Launcher - http://thottbot.com/?i=52706
Edit:
Apparently you can use the rockets whenever you want in the launcher above, but they are only attainable during the Lunar festival.

Ooooh yeah I have all the patterns for those. Pretty sure I was the only one who found it hilarious when I made an already laggy-as-sin AQ Opening Event even worse by spamming rockets all over.
I think the health buff rockets could only be granted during the Moon Festival (Chinese New Year?) event itself. The only rockets you can actually MAKE are for aesthetic/griefing use only.

Nope, however the item is now BoP, so it would be quite hard to use on a boss now.

Hmm, does anyone know if the circle of flame can be used to interrupt poly/seduce etc? I don't think so, and I would like to have a standby, that doesn't result in me dying a lot. :|

This was linked in the warrior forums by Swifty who had some very neat tricks like the double charge before it got patched, this nifty item is great for flag running as well as making you immune to majority of CC (sap, seduce, polymorph etc) and because its a offhand can be combat swaped, although you still need to activate it before a CC hits for it to work. More pvp than pve.

I've been using the battle chicken lately and its a great buff, had no idea it stacked too bad so few engineers in my guild. The best thing about it is that you can cast it and then change to your normal trinket.

Gift of Friendships from the Valentines Holiday. :D +30 Agil, Sta, or Int when you combined the 3 components. They weren't Unique or BoP. I had some saved until 2 months after the holiday, and it isn't inconceivable someone more obessive than me has a bank alt stuffed with them.
Also, Light of Elune, I still have mine from when it wasn't Unique or BoP.

I still have an alt stuffed with the actual valentine's boxes that have the box of candy in them. The actual item itself is tradable, so when I want my rogue to get extra hit chance, I mail off a box and she has them.

It's great for Kurinaxx, if your melee can't seem to see the sand traps underneath him.

I've saved my Light of Elune for almost two years now. I still don't know what to use it on, it seems ridiculously overpowered..

Try shrinking C'Thun(or the Eye of C'thun, but rogues might yell at you) sometime. It's pretty sweet if I do say so myself.
