Yes, they fixed it sometime last week.
In regards to new hunter itemization, take a look at: http://img102.imageshack.us/img102/286/neckgw7.jpg From world of raids, a reward from doing a dungeon(non raid) on 'hard' mode. Stamina aside, current Prestor's Talisman is superior to this. I'm not sure how much hit rating = 1%, but even if 16 is 2% it still wouldn't be much of an upgrade.
edit: I guess that's probably not the best example since a lot of those rewards are on par with current gear. I guess I'm just sick of wearing bwl loot.

eh? that neck is way better than prestor's, or at least post-expansion prestors, which is 30 AP, 1 crit, 10 hit rating (or 1 hit), no stamina. pre-expansion prestors is 60 AP, .6 crit, and 1 hit (or 10 hit rating). even this post-xp to pre-xp, you're getting 57 AP, .66 crit, and 16 hit rating, plus a bunch of stamina.

My point is that it isn't a clear upgrade from pre-expansion prestors, which is the only prestors that matters. One could assume that for all intents and purposes if prestors were designed in the expansion, it would have the same stats for us as pre-expansion(perhaps with "Class: Hunter" attached). So a level 70 dungeon epic neck is approximately a BWL neck with 160 health on it.

Moya,
Once the expansion drops, everyone's Prestor's will change. There won't be two different Prestor's for those who got them before the expansion and those who got them after. Thus, it is only salient to compare post-expansion Prestor's to the new epic neck, and the latter is much nicer.

160 health before talents and buffs, nothing to sneeze at. Also have to remember, the items you can buy with hard mode tokens are basically the epics for casuals.

If I wanted a neck with stamina I would of equiped a barbed choker a long time ago, or be shooting for Stormrage's Talisman. The stats that matter to me are RAP, crit and maintaining hit at the cap.
Edit: Int is pretty important now too with viper and careful aim. also hopefully they keep putting mp/5 on our gear since we will rarely get spirit ticks anymore.

I am quite aware of how things are changing. The point I was trying to make is that if their was a hypothetical equivalent to current prestors in the expansion, it wouldn't be a clear upgrade. The new prestors is not worth wearing at all, so that is why the old prestors is the only important one.
Anyways as Glaurong said, it is tailored to casuals, and really is of no issue to a raiding hunter.

Why are people harshing on the new prestor's? Have we even seen the stats? It seems likely it will be the same as the old one
in terms of RAP and crit contribution at level 60.

If you wanted to complain about hunter necklace itemization, you should probably start at Onyxia, not Nefarion ;)
The first CLEAR upgrade to a non-survival hunter from Onyxia Tooth Pendant is KT's necklace. Onyxia vs Prestor's is 36 RAP for prestor's vs ~0.67% crit and some stamina for onyxia. Pretty much a wash.
Hunter necklace itemization has always been hideously weak.
