A few questions if you wouldn't mind. Some are 'lock specific, not sure if you'll know...

1) Demonic Sacrifice, Voidwalker: Nerfed from 3% regen to 2%?

2) What all does Fel Armor apply to? Void DS regen? Potions? Heals? Drain Life?

3) How long are PvP fights lasting with the extra stamina on the items? Is staying power really going to be necessary? Burst damage not paramount?

4) How much are CC effects really nerfed in Arena/battlegrounds?

5) How are mobs scaling? Like, do level 60 outland mobs have more HP/damage than level 60 Azeroth mobs?

Thanks a ton!

Using the beta forums as an incredibly reliable resource, there are two levels of flying mount riding skill, which cost 800g and 5000g respectively.

:o 5 thousand g? Wow, I guess they're really really pushing the 100% speed flying mounts to be more of a status symbol, since you can get to where you need to go with just the normal ones.

Perhaps the rate at which you earn gold at lvl 70 (or potential rate given trade professions and whteher you make use of them or not) will make it a bit more of an achievable goal for the average player.

Another question on warlock stats that affect pet scaling, but a specific one. Does +spell critical chance affect any pet stats?

I can't get to those forums, it requires an account login (prob. a beta one), since mine doesn't work. Could someone clarify the 5k gold flying mount training cost?

Exact source text:
Olrokk in Shadowmoon Villiage, in Shadowmoon Valley trains in

Expert Riding-Requires lvl 70, Riding (150) allows the player to ride flying mounts that require riding skill of 225 800 gold

Artisan Riding- Requires lvl 70, Riding (225) allows the player to ride fast flying mounts that require riding skill of 300 5000gold
I would assume that the actual mounts are a small additional charge on top of this, just like the mount changes in 1.12.1.

If the rate of gold influx were not to be dramatically increased then repairing the new items alone would be a staggering drain on present resources. Expect your hard earned gp to be extremely devalued shortly.

I am courious about the pvp in TBC. With battles lasting longer... how do rogues fare ? Are they still a threat ( you got ganked and couldnt move from 100> 0 ... or have they become a joke ? )

How are the new talents affecting pvp .

How is the pvp town ???

Oh great, so we have to pay 800 gold to get the 225 riding skill, then ANOTHER 5000 gold for 300?!

Must....resist...whinning...

You guys have no idea how nice it is to be abvle to talk about this.

Warlock Scaling- nobody knows. Wasn't in last alpha.

PVP town- Called halaa, so much fun it should be illegal. Just absurdly amusing, AMAZING strategicly, absolute blast in every sense in every situation. So good there was a thread that had about 5-10 posts called 'Praise halaa' (if you don't get the pun shame on you). Can't say enough good about this ('cept the pvp token range was too short, being addressed).

Jewelcrafting- Low levels, it's rings/trinkets/neck, meduim levels it's like other crafting gear, high level it's gems to cut. Good crafting skill, fills a nice low level gap.

Lifebloom- keeps refreshing as long as you cast. Perma HoT for no mana for amazing heals ftw. Let it expire if you're tired of it.

Engineering- Yeah, I still have a mail terminal pattern, seriously. Anyone who wants to test this, find me. If you've paid attention I'm pretty easy to get ahold of. Thus far the other engineering stuff is blah.

Transport to/from Outlands- There's a city called SHatterath. It's got instant portals to any major city, no portal back (a la mage portals). Set your hearth, portal out and hearth back, pretty simple..mages get a portalto shatterath too.

Mangle- I'm not going to comment overmuch, seems bugged. Atm so overpowered there's no point in keeping ANY other feral talent on ANY other bar, hardly seems intended.

Tailoring- next to no idea. There's a pattern set that has a spirit in 5sr set bonus, but not trans 3p, all I recall.

Slam- I recall it got a positive change...*blush* all I remember, sorry.

PVP- Thus far (NOT A PVPER), stamina has outpaced damage to an unreal level. 1vs1 is no longer burst but 1 minute battles between equal gear- I assume, I tend to run myself off a cliff because I can't pvp for snot. WHole new game though, I can say that.

It was. Completely.

PS-
Saramin, L2Level like the REST of us. Hrmph! And whatever, just cuz I'm breaking 100k gold is no reason to send other people my way- total hax.

I am whiny, I'll admit that one. Polished on these forums tho....come now, really?

Just joining the chorus, since I seem to have my usual insomnia. Halaa really is amazing. You will love it. Remember when before pvp'ing you looked up reputation rewards first to find out whether it was worth suppressing the gag reflex? You will never do that again.

The new Eye of the Storm BG wasn't implemented while we were testing, though it seems to be now.

I haven't done much pvp, but the new sta values seem to favour some classes over others and throw into dissaray "core" hybrid functionality you don't spec for. 'Locks and warriors are happy. Me as a restoration druid who likes to at least every now and then feel catform is worthwhile beyond stealth? Not so much. I think they overdid it somewhat.

Hmm, what else? Aesthetically, everything is beautiful. The dungeons are fun and the trash is fairly varied. To sum it all up: Blizzard developers do what nobody else in the industry short of CCP does well. They're honest, and they learn fast. TBC exemplifies this.

It was also nice to actually get a sense of a friendly realm-wide community before the rabid locust swarm influx of general consumers.

And a final note: When they finally allow premades so it's a match of equal footing, everyone here is invited to watch as I dissassemble Ogun into the ground. It will be 1v1 and I'll give him the handicap of first opener. There will be balloons and cake.

Since it hasn't been answered yet I'll ask it again. Any information about the rage normalization? I never trust Devs when they say stuff like "none of our testers even noticed a difference with the new system."

The whole zone vs the pally/mage combo with 20 people attempting to take the town...then 30+ alliance rushing in and strike/retreat strategies that screw with the variable graveyard availability (and NO FREAKING REZ TIMER)....not to mention the sheer fun of burning bombs for cover fire while your protectors are CCed...*drool*

For me, the jury's out on this one. With the new abilities, ect...we'll see. Might bias fights towards some, but thus far I have not seen it.

Everything but ramparts (trash, bosses are unreal), I'll agree with this. Beautiful, fun, balanced- good stuff.

I'm definately not in this..

Mmmmmhmmm. I know we disagree on a fair amount, but the fact that I'm hideously bad at pvp I don't think was ever up for debate...

Even just DebateCraft..

THere was no comment on this till the post that rage generation had been normalized.

Then there was a post with a lot of math, all of which basicly boiled down to hits not generating a lot less rage, crits generating a fair amount less.

I make no claims to the authenticity of above. Nor am I going to requote the math.

Edit:
Removed a line I should not have said.

Overall, warrior dps seems more in flux. It will shift as gear changes of course.

Well if pet scaling wasn't implemented yet you won't know about that. But do you know if The Black Book was updated to work on the Fel Guard? I got it last week just in case...

Wow, I thought I'd have another question. I guess quizzing you about the itemization would require chat channel and massive amounts of patience on your part. So nevermind that.

Rogue stuff:
Do you have ANY information on rogues?
Or if you havent played rogue yourself, what was the general opinion by the rogues on beta server? (Thinking pve here, do we still obliviate most classes in dps?, all that dps talk from shamans made me nervous)

Gear upgrades compared to naxx loot?

Swords vs daggers vs fist? Preferences for the "levling"?

General:
How has the levling been...

How much time does it take? Same as 1-60? Same as 50-60?

On what content do ppl level? Soloing? 5man? Raids?

Say i have 9/9 tier3 when tbc goes live, can u estimate how much tier3 i will be wearing the day i hit lvl 70? And the following months?

Afaik, you cannot know as cap is at lvl 67, but make an educated guess:)

Rest comfortably. Rogues dominate shaman in pve dps thus far, in addtion to a few abilities being, actualy, useful (stop laughing). They could probably use a buff so thier 31->41 combat talents dont' suck, but they scale fairly well. Thus far the only class I've seen displace them are hunters, and hunter need a lot more tuning anyway.

Gear upgrades compared to naxx loot?
Trash greens are roughly MC. BWL starts off with low level quest drops. AQ is hard quests/high level drops, and Naxx gear gets slightly ecliplsed with the difficult 5 man instance gear- but Naxx gear is most certainly on most come 67, short of stam bonuses.

Swords vs daggers vs fist? Preferences for the "levling"?
Not even going to pretend here. I've been told swords work better for grinding because you don't have to be behind (and with higher mob stam more so) but I am NOT going to say better/worse, I can barely pass on what people have told me.

General:
How has the levling been...
Minor problem- I, as well as a few others, leveled with a lot of rest xp, then they removed that and upped the curve. I can't speak to this effectively, nor can most. So far, I -think- they're making it a priority to keep enough quests to avoid grinding (good thing).

How much time does it take? Same as 1-60? Same as 50-60?
See above

On what content do ppl level? Soloing? 5man? Raids?
Thus far we raid to take back Halaa (praise be unto Halaa) and that's all. 5 mans are good exp, but so are soloable quests.

Say i have 9/9 tier3 when tbc goes live, can u estimate how much tier3 i will be wearing the day i hit lvl 70? And the following months?
Honestly, 1-3 max based purely on stats. Possibly a bit more based on set bonuses. New gear is just obscene, especially stat based. In addition, most new leather/rogue gear specificly is AP + Agl.

Afaik, you cannot know as cap is at lvl 67, but make an educated guess:)
Did my best...

Um....huh?

Please say this is true, casting wf and then finding my weapon to enchant was driving me INSANE....*kicks the beta downloader* Wasn't there for alpha but jebus knows I suggested something often enough...

General STA/HP question - what are average class HP levels around 65? I can imagine warlocks/bears/warriors are ahead of others thanks to % STA talents, but how it looks on average?
