P.S. Yes that's 30 marks of honor for WSG, 30 AB marks, and 30 AV marks. And it was noted that the limit of 20 is a bug by a CM.

So it's 10 wins in each of the 3 BGs earns you a mount? That seems a fair price for a vanity mount (since I guess the changes to riding skill & mount prices mean that "cheap" mounts aren't so meaningful anymore).

Are any of the other previous awards going to be available (presumably, under the same system of turn-ins), or are they completely removed from the game in lieu of BG Rep rewards and Arena rewards?

Yeah well, all the people that got rank 14 wasted their time too, right? I don't really understand what you're getting at here - the rank system is completely gone in the expansion. EVERYTHING about the pvp system is acquired differently than it is now, that includes reputation rewards, rank rewards, etc. They also mentioned this is one of, if not the only pvp-based reward that will use the tokens exclusively, others will be a combination of honor points, tokens, and possibly gold.

This also seems more time consuming than the old way if you want to get more than one mount. 30 AV wins with cross server battlegrounds? That could take some time.

I didn't know that it counts as a win when your faction loses.

That's for three mounts worth of wins. 90 losses is even longer. :P

Obviously that's the true challenge: can you hack the game such that you can carry 30 of each mark to buy the mount? If so, congratulations, you just got an epic mount, and banned at the same time. It's a win/win situation.

If you read this thread, you would know that you can have more than 20 marks in the expansion (the tooltip, like many other tooltips, is incorrect).

I want one of those really badly.

Blizzard has stated that faction grinds will never be what they used to be in terms of time invested.

I have read about faction grinds wtih 400-ish rep turnins who take little time and can defenitly be done till revered.

But will Tauren even be able to ride them? If cows keep getting the shaft on all these cool new mounts in the expansion I will be very disappointed.

Any info to that end by the way? Has there been any change or are we still stuck on Kodos/Wolves/Flying Equivalent until the end of time?

The mounts themselves didn't list any specific races, like the AV mounts. You just need Exalted with that tribe to buy them.

Grinding up for one is so the first thing I plan to do come expansion!

Can you still rise the major faction reps with runecloth? Should I save 840 stacks of RC to get my EPIC CHOCOBO?

nobody knows if you can. My own theory is that they will be added to Silvermoon and Exodar, but that you won't get any experiance from handing in runecloth after 60. Also possible that Netherweave replaces runecloth as the main hand in
