OK, we've heard that hunter pets will benefit from hunter's ranged attack power and resistances, but how about the other things?

1. Will there be new pets - with new racials - available in Outlands?

2. Will the available pets be able to learn new skills as they level 60-70?

3. Will the pets be more viable in end-game? (And when I say 'more', I mean "will they be viable"? :) )

There is the dragonhawk in blood elf lands - with dragon fire - as can be seen in that pic .
There is the sporebat as well from zangar marsh but currently it cannot learn growl and only the youngest can be tamed - but it can be fed . Not sure if its meant to be tamed but it would amazing if it was .
Asides from the two headed buzzards , most of the tameable pets in the current open regions are reskins of existing models , and the beasts you can tame in outlands are better stats wise then the ones in wow legacy landmasses . However , they may make them the same later on as beta goes on . Petopia has a good look at the current new skins available ( dont remember the link ) .

As far as question 2 , i personally havent gone out looking for higher lvl ranks of skills to teach my pets , just been looking for new models :p so i cannot answer that . But i would assume that logically they will be able to learn more .

And to question 3 , i cannot say /shrug - end-game isnt available yet and so cannot say .

Rumor stood on the snowy hilltop, gripped her broadsword and blatantly ignored the painful frost burns caused by her chainmail bikini. - RIP Rumor the night elf female huntress .

New Hunter's Mark appearance. That is indeed the Dragonhawk. The ability is really nice, 50 focus and is basically like Inferno from Diablo 2 (or Cone of Cold, etc). Front cone-directed AOE. Here's it's pre-tamed size:
