Hello everyone,

I have this simple question: how do percentages modifiers add up?

For instance, I'm a warrior and I know in defensive stance I generate 130% hate, but how the 15% of Defiance is added? Additive or multiplicative? To be more detailed, if I do 100 white damage I know I generate 130 hate in defensive stance, if the +15% hate modifier from defiance is additive then it would result in 145 hate (100+0.3%+0.15%), if it's multiplicative it would result 149,5 (100*1.3*1.15), am I wrong?

Or taking a mage as an example (first coming to my mind): how do firepower and curse of element stack?

I apologize if this has been answered in the past, but couldn't find it anywhere.

Everything is multiplicative.

Clearly intellect is not your primary stat.

Virtually everything is multiplicative. I'm sure someone will pull out an additive example somewhere, but I'm hard pressed to think of one.

On that note, I really wish they'd make movement speed effects additive. There's nothing I hate more than popping Sprint, getting hit with a Rank 1 Frostbolt, and having my 170% speed multiplied by 0.6, bringing me to...102% of normal movement speed. If it were additive, then I'd at least be moving at 130% movment speed.

I know i have read somewhere, that self buffs through talents and such are additive, Shadow mastery + Demonic sack, on the other hand all %modifier debuffs are multplicative. Any truth to this? Ill try and dig up the post i read it from.
