New dispell costs:

Shamans:
Remove poison: 9% of base mana
Remove disease: 9% of base mana
Totem remove poison: 10% of base mana
Totem remove disease: 10% of base mana

Druids:
Remove poison: 16% of base mana
Removed curse: 10% of base mana

Mages:
Remove curse: 9% of base mana

Priests:
Abolish disease: 15% of base mana
Dispell magic: 18% of base mana

Well at least for shamans they doubled the actual mana cost :-(

It looks like the ratio cost has changed very little and that any significant increases are a direct result of significant increases to base mana pools.

It seems to reason that the -x% spell cost talents are even more valuable then before.

The last digit of Pi is delicious.

Remove lesser curse is 121 mana now I believe. With 7k mana, 9% would be 630.

Glad raid groups are getting smaller =)

I believe that's what base mana means.

Its base mana, ie unbuffed and naked. So more like 9% of 3000 -> 270 mana

Remove Lesser Curse is 10% of you base mana now. So it costs 121 mana if your base mana pool is 1210.

With this change Remove Lesser Curse will cost ~109 mana at level 60. As your base mana increases on the way to 70, so will the decurse cost.

Oops my mistake!

Thanks - I guess I was confused (because of) the absorption mechanic.

Either way I'm still glad raid sizes are smaller. =)

Does Dispel Magic normally cost that much? Holy cow, I should use rank 1 Corruption more often.

There's always free cheese in the mouse traps, but the mice there ain't happy.

priests get a talent (mental agility) that decreases the cost of all instant casts. Dispell costs me 222 mana (or close to that, not 100% positive) with 5/5 mental agility. Sense i have 8.1k mana buffed, 222 isnt very much at all.

I do use rank 1 SW:P on palleys all the time though. makes me feel like im being usful in pvp

Does anyone have rough guesses of what the actual numbers will be by L70?
It makes me sad that Cleanse will get more expensive. >_<

No thanks to you, I mouse over my own debuffs before cleansing now. Darn you! (I rarely check on my teammates though. Feel free to do it on them. Not like I'll heal them or anything. >_>)

Dispel is currently 18% of base. Base Mana is 2900 for humans. Which means dispels cost ~520 Mana or ~470 Mana with Mental Agility. I don't know too many priests that dispel everything in sight, as usually only certain things are worth the cost of dispel (think PI, AP, Frost Nova or someone about to be assist trained) especially when Renew can be used to offset dots for a much lower cost. Unless of course your prone to dying quickly in which case you might as well burn the mana.

But if a Pally is around I almost never dispel, because he's a little over twice as effecient as me. And now with Purge available to the Alliance now, I see even less offensive use because Shaman are almost twice as effecient as Priests at offensive dispelling.

The last digit of Pi is delicious.

I am not positive on the other classes, but this cost for dispelling for Shaman has been in the live game for a while.

The only change is when you level, you have a bit more base mana, so obviously the cost goes up.

Millions of words are written annually purporting to tell how to beat the races, whereas the best possible advice on the subject is found in the three monosyllables: 'Do not try.'

Dispel is 18% currently in live. However Base Mana does not equal Naked Mana.

Dispel Magic currently costs around 240ish mana to cast.
