Since then, 2 Atiesh-eligible members have quit and another went inactive. Neither of the quitters cited the Atiesh as a primary reason but the timing was fairly conspicuous. These had been 85%+ lifetime-raiders in the guild for over a year.

Things like this can be interpreted as a popularity contest and the ones getting very few/none votes may not feel appreciated. Now I dont know what happened for you exactly but such a thing would probably be a more likely reason to quit then some staff that looks like crap anyway -_-
We picked around five people with good attendance and attitude and just randomed between them. That worked well for us, but its not a very big thing because we are not likely to kill KT before expansion.
