When our first splinter dropped someone said in guild chat that we should give all the splinters to one person. I called this a ridiculous idea...and was taken seriously (by that one person). QQ

Our designated theoretical Aitesh getter was a Warlock after we considered strength of auras and the individuals in each class who would be eligible to receive it. It was decided by officers, like all our loot. Too bad we suck and he won't be making much use of it =(

[Edit] To the above poster...hey sucker I gave our first binding to another warrior who finished his TF and now plays on another server. Now, no one had completed TF at the time but welcome to the boat of tears, as to this day we don't have another one. -- Signed a really happy GM who tanks with EoC, huzzah.

Things like this can be interpreted as a popularity contest and the ones getting very few/none votes may not feel appreciated. Now I dont know what happened for you exactly but such a thing would probably be a more likely reason to quit then some staff that looks like crap anyway -_-

We picked around five people with good attendance and attitude and just randomed between them. That worked well for us, but its not a very big thing because we are not likely to kill KT before expansion.

Putting myself in the place of someone who lost such a vote, I can see why someone might feel that way. Especially healers, who tend to thrive on praise :P

According to Nme of Nihilum, the mage Atiesh has a +28 crit rating aura in the expansion. This means it gives everyone +2% crit at level 60 and around 1.26697% crit at level 70.

With DKP I'd be so far ahead that I'd be in full tier 3 with all the sidegrades...

Sadly all of our recruits would be naked, practically, and we'd still be on Patchwerk =P

We did it by DKP.

At the time, however, there were 3 80+% attendence officers in the top 3 atiesh eligible positions.

I said- HELL NO, YOU CAN'T MAKE ME BE THE PORTAL BITCH.
The Druid wasn't sure for a few weeks but finally decided to pass to
The Mage who's been there for every splinter drop but one (His girlfriend was in town and demanded full time attention for 2 raid nights lol).
Had all three of us passed, it would have gone to whoever had the highest dkp and wanted it, with at the time I think was a mage who also had high raid attendence (but is now gone)

Honeslty I think it's more of a burden than I would ever want on my shoulders.
