So they updated all the Pvp items with Token cost (like the mounts) along with CP costs.... all 2 handers/ranged weapons seem to require 40 AV Tokens. Il post screenshots in a bit of all the new costs.

I think he is saying that all the pvp reward weapons (High Warlord's Hand Cannon, Pig Sticker, etc) require win tokens from the battlegrounds. This doesn't have anything to do with what weapons are available.

So... this is our reward for already getting exalted with the battlegrounds, we get to hand in the tokens for medicore weapons?

I was dreaming about lvl 70 versions of the existing items, alas.

If we're lucky, it'll turn out that higher rep levels will require less tokens compared to the lower ones. (But with the token cost tuned to assume most everyone has hit exalted AV/WSG/AB by now)

If you go on thottbot it has all of the old rank 14 weapons as they currently are on there with blue and purple versions of each. The epics are the ones that are currently in the game and require level 60 while the blues require level 70 and appear to be an updated version of each weapon. I don't have any idea how they'll implement the new HWL gear.

Think a correction would be that the one handed item requires Eye of the storm marks , the new Battleground, Unless the thottbot information was false. Thats where I was getting it off.

Interesting, didn't know that, thanks. Those items look like quite nice "placeholers" in anticipation of arena gear, only too bad we can't start stockpiling tokens yet.

On a somewhat off-topic note, if I have the epic PvP mount, I assume I would have to first buy the epic horse riding skill before I can get the flying mount riding skill? Is there hope that those extra two weeks worth of my time getting rank 11 shouldn't have been spent simply farming gold instead? :P

When you say we can't start stockpiling tokens yet, is this just because a lot of those require Eye of the Storm tokens or do honor tokens get wiped when you buy BC or something?

AV is a poorly designed mess. I don't mind having to get tokens from BGs, but 40 man hour+ games of AV are not something I want to be doing. At least allow us to join as group.

This probably isn't the most amazing idea. AV is the easiest PvP zone to "AFK" in and the worst to actually grind.

So the top end level 60 epic items from Naxx are still ever so slightly better then the level 70 blue PvP rewards(in regards to weaponry).

And the one-handers require 20 wins from a BG called Eye of the Storm?

What are those Horde symbols? The 20,000 whatevers? HKs? So I just kill 20,000 people and I get access to all of the armor that takes that or less and just provide the tokens to get the gear?

Honor points. As far as I can tell, honor gains are about 10% of what they are on live (a level 60 on level 60 is worth roughly 20 honor), but unlike live, the honor points you get don't go into any kind of standing calculation; instead, you just have a bank of them, which you can spend on items.

Not suprisingly, these changes seem to fix nothing whatsoever. Battlegrounds/Honor on live is busted. Shuffling around how you get these rewards won't fix that. I mean, cool, you spend less time to get rank 14 gear in TBC. Well, that makes sense, because no one will really care about those items since they will be next to obsolete. You still have to spend a bunch of time grinding an instance that everyone absolutely hates. What's the point? I can't say I have some magical solution, but then they don't pay me to think of them either. I just know the Battlegrounds are NOT FUN to virtually everyone, except a few hardcore premade groups. Surely this is the key issue.

I guess there's Arena to look forward to. Here's hoping they did that right at least. They should just take AB/WSG/AV out back and shoot it imo.

If battlegrounds are NOT FUN and everyone hates instances, why do they still pay to play this game? It's not half as bad as you make it out to be.

For loot. People are amused by it initially, get sick of it within 2 weeks, and realize if they quit they don't get anything for their time already spent. The loot available is just good enough to be practically mandatory for people's alts that won't get to raid, and perhaps even people trying to edge into raiding.

AV is objectively bad. WSG is painful at best if you are not in an organized pvp group. AB is just.. long and boring. Do you really find non-stop enjoyment out of these battlegrounds? You'd be the first I've heard say that.

BTW, when I say "instance" i mean pvp battleground instances, not pve stuff. I LOVE SCHOLO. I mean, who doesn't?
